Cover fee plus tip

The food is pretty good, but the place in general is overpriced. They charge a 500 yen seating fee which they say is normal (I’ve never seen this in Japan) and at the end it asks for a tip (definitely unacceptable for Japan). Kinda screams tourist trap.

Tourist trap

Just terrible. Food wasn’t good and extremely overpriced. The lady server was ok, but seemed nervous for some reason. The whole place had a weird vibe. Definitely do not recommend to any one.

Cons: Food is greasy , Overpriced, Tourist trap

Many option

Mixture of western food and Japanese food. Have vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.
I order the tuna sushi, taste nice.
Japan Curry is a bit boring for me, but it’s how the Japan’s curry style mostly are.
They gave me a free local produce raw corn and it contains a taste of nature and sweet. Impressive about how corn can taste like how it originally should be.

To fatty and expensive, clear tourist trap

Pros: clearly labelled vegan and gluten-free food, one very nice waitress, no waiting time
Cons: wayyy to expensive for what you get. We had a pizza, a salad and a set menu. The set menu cost 5500 and includes an appetizer, a small soup, a small bowl of rice and as a main dish three mushrooms and a bit of fish. All the food is sooo fatty, I had a stomachache afterwards. Also, there is a service charge and they still ask you for a tip, which is not usual in Japan and clearly made this seem like a tourist trap.
Also, the music is on super loud and before entering there is a very unfriendly sign, giving it a not very welcoming atmosphere

lovely staff

Staff are lovely. Meals are very expensive by Japan standards ($27Aud for a burger). The meal was nice, miso sauce and chips were nice. Yuzu icecream and muffins nice. the burger wasn’t anything special but it is very hard to find vegan food in this area.

Pros: location, vegan options

Cons: limited menu

Lovely staff and delicious food

Not sure why this place has such low ratings. I ate here tonight with my family and the food was amazing. We ate creative vegan versions of fish and meat with delicious flavours. The staff were super sweet and spoke very good English. Would recommend trying the set menu for variety. A bit on the pricier side but worth it to support one of the very few vegan friendly places in Kanazawa.

Too posh to recommend

As many others have said, it’s not really worth the sky high prices to dine here.

If you don’t care about a 3000¥ set lunch though, then you can probably have a good time!

Very expensive and average food

We decided to eat here because we couldn’t find any open vegan places. We ordered a veggie burger which supposedly contained truffle and a Japanese-style scrambled tofu with rice. The burger tasted ok, but it definitely didn’t taste like truffle at all, it only cost like it. Also, I believe the patty was made with rice, so I can’t really explain how the burger could cost 2380 yen. The scrambled tofu was good, but nothing mind-blowing, the rice was a bit bland. However, the dessert was a big disappointment. We spent around 1600 yen for a parfait which consisted of two small scoops of fruit sorbet, with a tiny dollop of cream, one small strawberry cut in half and a slice of banana, most of which was peel (yes, peel). I guess the price can be explained by the fact that they sprinkled some edible gold on it (totally unnecessary in my opinion). Finally, we also ordered one soft drink to share (that also being quite pricey) and, unlike they usually do in Japan, they didn’t bring us any free water. The staff was nice to us and the place was nice too, but not enough to compensate the food and the price. On the whole, I wouldn’t recommend unless it was your only option. I’ve been to many vegan places in Japan and I’ve eaten much better food for a third of the price.

Fancy vegan meal

Very good place for a vegan/vegetarian date but not for a regular meal, the menu is quite expensive. The staff really knows and understand what veganism is and the chef is great, I just don't understand the price, especially when the omni full course menu is half the price of the vegan one.

Pros: Good vegan meal, Kind staff and fancy mood

Cons: Seating fee, Overall expensive

Went here for lunch and they said they weren’t serving any lunch/dinner menu but we could order drinks and appetizers.
The food itself was great, just an odd experience.

Good food, VERY expensive

Mostly vegan menu. Food was really tasty, would have liked more but only had a side because the mains were so expensive. Staff were friendly and service was good. Probably a very nice visit if you have a higher budget.

Disappointing and Expensive

While this place does offer a large number of vegetarian and vegan options - the food quality is very average and overpriced. An example would be approx. ¥3200 for vegetable tempura which we’ve had better elsewhere.
The welcome was instead a barrage of rules such as cash only, no photos and notice of a ¥550 cover charge per person.
It’s a good option for those who can’t find any other vegetarian/vegan places open but shouldn’t be anyone’s first choice. It very much felt like it was exploiting dietary requirements for financial gain.

Pros: Friendly staff, Lots of vegan/vegetarian options

Cons: Overpriced food, Being thrust a list of rules on arrival , Cover charge for mediocre food

One of the best meals for Japan trip

Loved the chef's attention to all details and catered to oriental vegetarian requirements without the 5 pungent vegetables. Loved the Ramen and burgers. Super friendly chef too. Should get a 5 star rating

Ottima scoperta!

posticino molto carino. Abbiamo fatto fatica a trovare alternative vegetali in Giappone e questo posto ci ha veramente sollevati. Personale gentile che parla ottimo inglese, alternative glutea free. Provate i dolci.

Very pricey, seems to be catered to tourists

We went to this restaurant yesterday but did not eat there. The menus that can be found online do not seem to be up to date anymore. The prices were really high. About 2500¥ for a main course 500¥ cover charge per person. They do not allow taking pictures without prior permission. I would really appreciate if one could view the prices before entering the restaurant.
They also had a giant tip jar in the front of the restaurant. I personally found that quite off-putting for a restaurant in Japan.

Waste of time and money)

Don't go there!
Regular food on a VIP class restaurant price.
Better buy some japan apples from a shop!

For the price, nothing amazing

I got the special menu plate- I decided on the salt cider (which is actually amazing), soy tuna rice, which was pretty good, and for a main course, rice with maitake tempura. The tempura was super oily and not very flavorful. I also got a matcha tart for dessert and that was pretty good.

The next morning I went to go pick up a muffin, but they were out. I decided to eat breakfast there. I got a vegan omelette rice dish, that was pretty good. It came with pumpkin soup and fried potatoes, which were really good. It came with deep fried mushrooms on top, but again they were super oily and bland. So maybe steer clear of the deep fried menu items here and you’ll have a good experience!

The staff here are super nice!

Solid vegan joint! ..well kind of

Not fully vegan which was misleading since the sign said plant based (they served some crab and shrimp). But the restaurant was beautiful and the family who owns and run it were very sweet and friendly. The vegan bbq appetizer was so good, the eggplant miso was my favorite, also the vegan tuna on crispy rice did not disappoint! The tempura was alright and the tuna shashimi was pretty good! I also got the teriyaki burger and wasn’t the biggest fan. It was not bad but it was mushy since it is made fresh with organic ingredients. I tend to like fake meats like impossible or beyond but aside from that it was a great restaurant. The highlight was the matcha tart!!!

Very tasty food but a little pricey. Worth treating yourself.

There were a number of vegan choices, I went for the jalapeno burger - great sauce and flavour.
I was the only guest so I didn't get the atmosphere others mentioned, it was raining. More on that in a moment.
The waitress was very good and chatted when I had finished eating.
Apparently it rains a lot in Kanazawa and she told me a local saying, "You can forget your lunch box but don't forget your umbrella!"

Pros: Good jalapeno sauce, Very friendly waitress

Cons: Slightly pricey but worth the treat.

Great food, fun atmosphere

I’m in Kanazawa for a language immersion program, and this is my class’s favorite place to go! The food is great, the staff understands veganism, and they are very friendly. Great place to grab food and a drink almost any time!

Pros: Tasty food, Good drinks

Cons: Hours can be unpredictable, check instagram!
