Good food, bad service

Dining in, I had the vegan tadka dal for $15.90, vegan garlic naan for $5.0, steam rice for $4.50, and vegan mango lassi for $7.50.

The dal was great except I didn't enjoy the floral notes of the raw coriander that was used to garnish it. I enjoyed the naan too but found the rice too dry. The lassi was exceptional, I loved the flavours of mango and yoghurt.

Our food for three was served quickly, perhaps too quickly at fewer than fifteen minutes.

The service was the weak link. We had to write down our order and were met with rolled eyes when we asked to pay separately.

Pros: Vegan options for traditionally non-vegan items, Clean toilet

Cons: Service is lacking

A complete disaster

Terrible service, waited 2.5 hours and still some of our table of 10 had not received any food. We had to write down our own orders and then had to ask twice for the drinks and then some just went and got them themselves. After complaining about the long wait time, one member of our group was told to sit down and eat, something she would have loved to do but this member had not received any food at all that she could eat. We ended up leaving after 2.5hrs with no apology or explanation, all in all very disappointing.

Excellent

Vegan menu. Offers mock "chikn" soy nuggets in curry, has tofu, cheesy naan, plus creamy dishes and yoghurt. Delicious food including manchurian and pokaras. Lots of flavour and spices. The whole place may as well be vegan!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Vegan cheese, tofu, mock chikn

Cons: Serves dairy, No korma

Good selection but volcanically spicy

Good selection of food, but everything was the same rather high consistency of spiciness. We ordered a diverse three entrees and three main curries, and even the most basic curry -- the Mixed Veg -- had the same overpowering flavour profile. This, and the Dal Tadka, weren't even listed as being spicy, and yet both contained a liberal amount of chilli or chilli-seeds. People obviously like Indian food precisely because it's hot, but it's also great when you don't have to have a tongue of steel to partake. It would be great if the menu gave more guidance about what to select if you've a weaker spice-tolerance. We chose based on their spiciness scale and on our familiarity with what are your standard "safe" dishes at other Indian places and still found that more or less between all of them there was no contending with the heat.

Lots of vegan options

I went here last night and I was surprised by the amount of vegan stuff that they had. It was like a big fold out menu with 3-4 pages, and I had to double check on the front to make sure I did have the vegan menu because of how big it was

Pros: Lots of vegan options
