Vegan street food! - Edit
No English menu but the lady running it was very nice and we were able to figure it out (I pointed to photos of dishes from google maps and she would come out occasionally and ask me if I was ok w specific ingredients). This little nook just a five minute walk from Taipei station already has a very casual ~local~ vibe

Delicious vegan street food - Edit
Little stall with 3 tables on the street directly adjacent to a stall that sells meat. I found an English menu on Google Maps. 100% vegan. We got the "assorted Taiwanese stew with cellophane noodles" and "pork ribs with flour noodles". Both very good, big thumbs up from a meat eater and a vegetarian.

Cheap place - Edit
I went here to eat lunch.
Read moreNo English menu.
I get rice and 4 items to choose from veggies (and tofu). The Chinese menu is huge but as I don't speak Chinese..on Google you can see many picture of the food they offer. They also have noodle.
Few sit inside and outside.
