Serves meat, vegan options available. A snack stall that sells samosas. Also has other vegan and vegetarian snacks, e.g. onion kachori and chili pakoras. All the food is deep-fried and freshly prepared so nobody has to worry about hygiene standards. There is no seating. Popular with locals, so there are long lines at times. Note from HappyCow: Reported to most likely be vegetarian, so if you know that it is please send us an update -
thank you! Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-8:00pm.

very nice samosas! (not vegan though!!) - Edit
I would call them the best samosas I’ve ever had. But I have to admit that i haven’t had too many so far.
Read moreI asked. They’re vegan.
No eggs, no milk.
There’s a crowd in front of the store but most of them are already eating. So not much / no waiting time!
Samosas are huge (2 of them were enough for a whole meal. And I am eating a lot usually). And let’s say the price is good -> 1 Samosa is 24 Rupies at the moment.
addition: i watched how they prepare the samosas and they use Ghee to close/glue them then together.

Have to go! - Edit
If you are in Jodhpur you have to get at least a samosa here. You can trust the hygiene and you’ll be a part of the mayhem that is this city!

Best samosas in the world - Edit
This is not a restaurant, but a very popular take-away snack stall that is crowded all the time. Queue, buy your food and eat it in the street. They have a choice of different snacks. I tried one of their samosas and the onion kachori, and both were outstanding and so delicious – the best food I had in India!!! The best samosa I have ever eaten, and I have had samosas in many places! Shahi Samosa is apprx. 50m south of the clock tower. The food is always fresh, so no need to worry about hygiene. The food is a bit spicy, though.
