Yummy mushroom risotto, the only official vegan plate sounded horrid so asked for the risotto to veganised and it was lush

Could be better - Edit
There was only one vegan option, which contained no source of protein, despite still being tasty.

Only vegetables - Edit
There was only one vegan option that consisted on some grilled vegetables and mango. It wouldn't be so difficult to add some protein such as tofu which is easy to find and cook.

So far the most boring meal I've had (in 2 weeks in Portugal) - Edit
The name of the dish looked promising, however sadly it was how most people think vegans eat - only vegetables.
Read moreThey were tasty, especially with the sauce. But it was quite boring to eat only grilled veggies ( mango) when there are so many more interesting options to choose from.

Grilled Mango dish - Edit
Not so many options but the grilled Mango was really a very good pick! Terrace in the backyard is nice. Bread comes with olive oil.

Unexpectedly good - Edit
Don’t be put off by “hostel” in the venue name - this restaurant provided first class service and delicious food comparable with much more expensive restaurants. My vegan partner had the only dish marked as vegan on the menu - the grilled mango with grilled vegetables, which was different and very tasty. I had the spaghetti with vegetables (which also appeared to be vegan and was also delicious). Our waiter was professional, efficient and accommodating and offered a vegan berry fruit sorbet to my partner for dessert. We sat on a table outside at the front on the Rua de Santa Maria to watch the world go by, but there is also a large raised terrace at the rear of this venue - which is where everyone is likely to be if it looks quiet inside.

One vegan option - Edit
the only clearly defined vegan dish are grilled vegetables with mango. But I'm sure that the sushi can also be made vegan. Nice terrace and friendly service.

Nice vegan option - Edit
One dedicated vegan option but waitress said they are happy to adjust dishes to suit. Will try the vegan sushi next time.
