Incredible food! Wow the portion sizes are so good. Corn, curries and soup were all delicious and massive. We ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and a homemade lemonade and wow they were both bursting with flavour. Really excited to have found this place and can't wait to come back. Inside is also very clean and the staff were attentive and friendly. Thank you!

Closed Down From July 2023 - Don’t bother - they’re never open - Edit
Despite advertising they’re open, they never are. They don’t answer their phone or adjust their operating hours on social media to reflect when they’ll be closed. Seriously not worth the drive to find they’re closed, again, and again…..

They’ve not closed, I’m fairly sure. They just don’t operate by their advertised hours. They seem to open and close dependent on weather or whatever else.

I’ve missed Vietnamese iced coffee. I’m not sure what they use as a dairy alternative, but it works. I've been very happy with the spicy hue beef noodle soup and the broken rice with grilled pork.

Cons: Probably typical pricing but not a cheap eat. , Insanely busy area so parking is a thing.

Not easy to find if you're not a local. It used to be Vietnamese restaurant but they switched to vegie and it's great.
Good price and good size. Love their noodles. If you're a tourist, best to get one train and get off at Springvale. Its the place for the local Asian community where it's loaded with eats, hair salons and there's a couple of Temples and shrines (follow the train tracks for those).
Weekends its the most crowds but it tends to be a buzzing place.

We found this place by accident, very glad we did. Small very modest restaurant in a strip of other SE Asian venues. All the food was delicious - my partner said the fried rice was the best he’s had in years. 100% vegan so you don’t need to ask for subs. Very casual. Will definitely be back.

Vegan Vietnamese food is becoming more common in Australia, yet not all venues can deliver this cuisine successfully.
Read moreSaigon Xua is clearly run by people who know what they are doing. The three dishes we sampled were not only fabulously tasty, they were packed full of ingredients - including the all-important (and generally expensive) protein components. Moreover, they were reasonably sized and spot-on in terms of price.
Having tried other vegan Vietnamese options in Springvale, I am thrilled that there is a Springvale venue that does as good a job as the better venues in Richmond and in other Vietnamese hubs around Australia.
Saigon Xua has only a few tables inside, but it does have undercover outdoor seating - perfect for COVID safety. It is not fancy by any means, but it is not shabby either. It is a small, local gem of an eatery which serves up great vegan Vietnamese food!
Pros: Excellent flavours, Reasonable prices, Outdoor seating

I came here for Nay Nay's birthday 🎁 with about 10 people. Everyone was pleased with what they ordered. I got the Vegan Offal because I missed out on the real version before I went vegan. Super yummy with mock cow 🐮, another unidentified mock animal 🍖 (which might've been Buf-faux-lo or Muffalo), mock tofu 🧀 and plant based veggies 🥕 plus a nice fluffy bread roll 🍞 to mop up the offal juice. I had a nibble on a few of my friends' vegan leftovers and they were all tasty Ay Eff too. Cảm ơn!! #IJWTT #aloimaak

Came here with my Omni family. Lots of different options on the menu including lots of dishes I hadn't tried before. It was a great opportunity to try some new vietnamese style dishes safe in the knowledge that whatever I picked would be 100% vegan. I tried the Rice Rolls/Stuffed Pancake and it was something completely new to me!

Read moreThe fine vermicelli platter with spring rolls and everything was also perfect. The Cassava cake was good for dessert. The layer cake wasn't very sweet. It tasted beany. The fruit flan I liked but I didn't like the coffee syrup. I'd get it without it next time, as I'm not a coffee person.
When the staff found out it was my birthday lunch, they played the happy birthday song and gave us free mock prawn crackers, which was very lovely of them.

First visit was not amazing but hopefully my rating can be increased in the future. The mock used in the chick'n curry was not great and of a lower quality to the chick'n cutlet which was quite enjoyable. The bahn mi featured a slightly soggy shredded mock; I would really just prefer a marinated tofu. The rice paper noodles were quite good and well priced at 4 for $10.

We ended up here for lunch on a public holiday and were not disappointed. We ordered six spring rolls ($8), dumplings ($5), the Hainamese chicken fried rice ($14) and the banh xeo ($16). All were delicious, although the dumplings were a bit sticky (but still tasty). The chicken was tasty and not too rubbery (though I find some degree of this unavoidable with mock chicken), the broths and sauces were delicious, and the pancake golden and crisp. Staff were friendly and helpful, and portion sizes were decent for the very reasonable prices.
