Amazing Vietnamese food, outdoor seating

Amazing authentic Vietnamese food. This restaurant has been a local favorite for over ten years. It’s always busy with every table outdoors filled in summer. I’ve walked past there so many times thinking it smells so good (of garlic and spices) and the food has to be great given how fully booked it always is (they add extra tables outside in summer on weekends, all with white table cloths) but I didn’t think they’d have any vegan options. They have ( I believe recently or maybe I just missed it) changed their menu to include an entire vegetarian section so we tried it out and we’ve been back twice a week ever since. The food is sooo good, I’m seriously excited about it! The fried tofu main dish is my absolute favourite, it comes on a crispy rice cracker kind of thing and is to die for. The staff are super helpful, friendly and totally understand what vegan means and also made dishes gluten-free for me on top of making them vegan. It’s BYO too, they will bring you an ice bucket for the wine and they have very well functioning heaters outside in winter. The portions are very generous. This place is my absolute new favourite in Newport and I can highly recommend it!
