SAFFFE

Save American Family Farms From Extinction is a grassroots movement designed to help our american farmers continue to provide produce for our country. American farmers are losing business, and going bankrupt because our grocery stores refuse to provide local produce. I feel that SAFFFE is a movement that is long overdue, as the country that cannot feed itself is reliant on anyone else who can produce the food. If we lose our American Farmer, what will keep our produce costs down? What will keep us from being at the mercy of foreign produce, and the people who grow it? Mexican tomatoes are cheap, tasteless, and right now provide more than 3/4 of the tomatoes in our country! Local Dade County farmers are forced to leave produce in the field to ROT because they cannot sell to anyone! They cannot afford to hire the help needed to harvest, because they have no buyer for their delish produce. THIS is why we need to push forward and band together to save not only the American Farmer, but the American dream.
