Delicious donuts and coffee - Edit
We bought an assorted dozen: chocolate with sprinkles, cinnamon sugar and powdered. Delicious cake donuts and oatmilk lattes to wash them down.

Nov. 2024 update: We tried the Dare (locally made) vegan maple pecan and veggie cream cheeses with our bagels, and both were excellent.
The owners were, just like our last visit, super friendly. Well worth the drive down to Buxton!

Coffee is some of the best on the island! They also have a punch card now which is great! Love that they are all vegan too. Just wish they would have more food items. They haven't had the sausage rolls in a long time. Just doughnuts and packaged stroopvafels right now. I guess they just make one batch of doughnuts in the morning because they will sell out before 10am even though they are open later. Why wouldn't they make a second batch like at 8:30am or 9? They will laugh in your face if you ask if they have any doughnuts after they sell out.

Delicious Donuts! - Edit
Everything they sell is AMAZING! The donuts are the perfect size (and price) and sausage roll was also delicious- though I recommend buying more than one unless you just need a very light breakfast. Didn’t try their drinks, but will next time. We normally buy a dozen donuts to share with our niece and nephews - they are not veg, but love them just as much as the non-veg donuts they get from other places! The owners are also SUPER kind people.

We are so lucky to have found this amazing place. OBX doesn’t have a large amount of vegan options so we were so happy to have found this gem! Their donuts, coffee and chai lattes are so delicious that we keep coming back. Even our pup loves their donuts! They also have vegan soft serve! We were lucky to try their chocolate soft serve ice cream on a cone and it was so yummy. To top it off the owners are sweethearts. They’re incredibly kind souls with hearts of gold. They have been a wealth of knowledge during our first time here and are always excited to see us when we come by. Well worth the multiple trips!

Showed up to Luke and Nathalie’s truck on a rainy arvo. Not only did they serve us an assortment of delicious donuts, a lovely long black with oat, and a legit vegan oz sausage roll, but they also went way above and beyond and bailed us out by offering to juice our van battery before sending us off with a sticker and some grounds to go.

Our visit started out great - as we walked up we saw the owner come out of the food truck with a bowl of water he thought a customer's dog might want on a particularly hot day. Then the DONUTS! I'm not even much of a donut fan, but these were DELICIOUS! We started out with three donuts and two lattes for my son, husband and myself, and ended up getting four more donuts! The only downside was that they ran out of several flavors and were out of the sausage Aussie roll thing we were hoping to try. We may just have to make the journey back another day to try it, and of course get more donuts. They're little, so be sure to order more than you think you'd want.

Vegan coffee and donuts!! - Edit
This place was sooo good, and the best spot for breakfast! Between four of us, we ate a dozen donuts and two sausage rolls! They have excellent coffee and special drinks for the kids (like an Italian soda, sparkling water with fruit flavored syrups). The owners were really sweet as well. I hope they are still here next year when we come back!

Hi friends! If you all are visiting... or living (woohoo) on the Outer Banks, you need to check out Roots & Leaves, right beside Pangea Tavern! They have the most delicious coffee creations, drinks, and treats! Roots & Leaves is owned by the sweetest family (shoutout Luke & Natalie) and they have an awesome Mascot, Fatso the Wombat, that everyone loves. My personal favorite order is a Hot Oatmilk Latte with an Australian Vegan Sausage Roll... yum! Don't miss out on this little treasure that will make your day brighter!
