Absolutely outstanding and delicious vegan food in the heart of sister bay! I'm still thinking about the cheesey potato cakes. I have a tree nut allergy so bonus points for labeling nut free dishes.

Fantastic vegan food in Sister Bay! - Edit
This was the best meal I've had in Door County! I loved the beautiful back deck atmosphere and colorfully presented dishes! Nearly everything on the menu is vegan as it comes, and they don't upcharge for substituting the vegan brat for the animal-based option. I had truffle chips and a lemon Caesar salad.

A great place to get vegan eats - Edit
My wife and I stopped in to this place today and were pleasantly surprised to find that virtually everything can be made vegan or is already vegan. We split a Caesar salad, and she got a vegan brat with sauerkraut and all the fixings on a pretzel bun and I got a tofu and rice dish. All of it was really good.

Would have liked to give them 5 stars! Food options were amazing. We ate the tacos and loved them. Delighted to find a vegan restaurant in northern Door! We will definitely be back. Enjoyed speaking to owner about historical significance of the building and the restaurant.

Hidden vegan gem in Sister Bay WI - Edit
Once or twice a week Julie and stroll into town to eat the best vegan food in Door County at Roots Inn & Kitchen in Sister Bay WI. There is nothing that Colin and his team create that we do not like, from the Asian cauliflower and walnut tacos, truffle chips, vegan burgers with three different vegan dressings (something for every palette) and the breaded and fried broccoli wings.

Excellent broccoli wings and tacos! - Edit
We brought our non vegan family with us and everyone loved their food. My husband and I ordered the walnut and cauliflower tacos, small Caesar salad, and broccoli wings. It all tasted AMAZING! one family member ordered the bread pudding and she loved it. They offer one non vegan option, bratwurst, which I was told was really good. The place is a small adorable little space. I highly recommend!!

The best vegan meal in Door County - Edit
We went for lunch on our last day in Door County, and are so disappointed we didn’t go sooner! The food was delicious, fresh, and so satisfying. We got the vegan broccoli wings, vegan tacos, and vegan loaded brat and chips. Everything was delicious, but we are still reminiscing about those wings! This place is a must go.

I was on my own and felt very comfortable. Ate outside. Multiple vegan choices, yay, and delicious tacos. There were 1 or 2 non vegan options so you can bring your muggle friends. Note the limited hours.

The lunch menu features multiple, unique vegan options. We tried the cheesy mac waffles, truffle oil/parmesan potato chips and vegan bratwurst with onions and kraut on a pretzel roll. Everything was perfectly prepared and portions were generous.

One of my favorite meals when i’m in the area! The vegan walnut tacos are AMAZING! I’ve had them a few times now and I always love them. This is the only vegan option i’ve tried but I know that they have other rotating options. the tacos seem to always be on the menu. My only con is the hours - they’re only open for lunch and I always wish they’d expand to offer dinner!

This restaurant has many great vegan options. My mother and I both got the Asian Tacos and they were divine! Staff was very nice. Drinks came with paper straws which is nice! Will come back again.
