Bad Experience - Edit
We did not have a good experience at this restaurant. They really need to work on their food hygiene. I wont go into details, but I won’t I wont eat here again. I would rate them a 1 star, but the app won’t allow it.

Friendly and delicious - Edit
Had turkish coffees and freshly squeezed orange juice whilst waiting for our food, we tried the beans and butternut squash in sauce and some spinach squares- both delicious. Hard to tell which dishes are vegan or vegetarian at times.

A very nice vegetarian/vegan restaurant - Edit
The environment and the space of this restaurant are great! The workers were very nice and so was the food. Such a shame that there weren’t any vegan dessert options.

Decent vegan food but expensive for what you get - Edit
Roka cafe had a lot of vegan options, and there menu is rotating. They serve you a variety of vegan appetizers on a large platter. It was very filling, and the food was good albeit cold. 90% of the food was vegan, but only a few of the deserts were. My meal my friends hummus came out to 155 lyra. While the nearby restaurant Wegain was only 50 lyra for similar food.

Cons: Expensive , Served cold, Had no vegan deserts when I arrived (near closing)

Delicious - Edit
I’ve always been a fan of homemade foods. Everything here has been made daily. Not everything in the menu is delivered daily so you should call and ask before you go.

Pleasant - Edit
It caught my attention as i was walking down this steep hill, it's a bit tucked but it clearly advertises its vegan food. The staff (family) were incredibly sweet and welcoming. i Had Baclava (i was at that point dying for a real dessert that is vegan) i enjoyed it soooo much although it was mediocre and a bit stale. there are the expected vegan cold meze dishes. I think it'll be a good option for tourists who want a cozy place and a quick bite (you know sometimes the experience matters more than the food). Just don't expect much. I also found a bit expensive as someone who lives in Istanbul, but back when i was a tourist i wouldn't have thought twice about the prices.

We only had cake and tea but the cake was delicious and the owner was generous. Great outdoor spot and lots of menu choices.

The location and atmosphere were the best - Edit
The sweet vegan option was only pumpkin with tahin. For a vegetarian Café to less for me. #Veganuary

Nice but not great - Edit
The staff are really nice; the place seems to be family run.
Read moreUnfortunately, we were also served vegetarian dishes instead of vegan only, and the food was okay but nothing special really. I can recommend the bulgur salad, though.

Not fully vegan - Edit
Beautiful place with decent food, but they served us something with cheese which made me sick. I asked about it and they said they confused vegan for vegetarian. They were apologetic about it and exchanged it for something else, but I had already consumed something non vegan and the menu doesn’t indicated it has dairy. The rice was undercooked in the stuffed peppers and the soup was quite spicy for us, even though we asked before ordering and the staff assured us it wouldn’t be. Nice staff overall and beautiful plates, but this was a big mistake.
