Yummy Falafel

It was tasty but also bit expensive (one falafel plate & one tea for about 13€).

Amazing vegan food

They had vegan baklava, it was amazing. We got a mixed plate of 3 options, they were all so yummy! The staff were friendly, nice quiet spot to relax for lunch. Highly recommend

Pros: Lots of options , Vegan desserts

Small menu but good!

We tried the kebap platter - amazing! Really good texture and taste. And we tried the falafel and hummus platter - also good - the falafel was so light and crispy. Lovely staff

Pros: Great texture for the kebap, Outdoor seating was nice

Minimal effort

Got the vegan breakfast plate and it was a big disappointment. Most items from a jar, the vegan “butter” was a spoonful of coconut oil, no molasses in the tahini, both breads were stale. Overall just really bland and felt like they put in no effort. Not worth the cost (currently 400 lira per plate)

Good coffee place

I had a falafel & humous and it was really good. The sides were a bit too salty for me. The turkish coffee are good and cute. Nice relax place, beautifull ambiance.

Happy cafe/food place!

Cute little shop with classic cafe options, desserts and a tiny pick-your-own-dishes option for food. Friendly staff, good wifi, delicious baklava! Five stars if only vegan.

Cold buffet food

This place essentially serves cold buffet food. You get to select the dishes from the counter. I had hoped that they would warm them up, but that didn’t happen. The food itself wasn’t bad, but also wasn’t good. It’s quite average all in all.

Our New Favorite in Istanbul!

Wegain is a lovely family owned and operated almost entirely vegan restaurant located in Cihangir - a beautiful, hip, and artsy neighborhood, whose windy cat lined streets eventually lead upward to Istiklal Street/Taksim. The restaurant has 6 indoor tables, and might seat 20 or so diners at max capacity. The decor is tasteful and music pleasantly unobtrusive. Meals are available for dine-in and take away as a choice of 3 or 4 options on a plate, and offered for a very reasonable price. The fare is home cooked/prepared, fresh, light, perfectly seasoned, nutritious and delicious. Service was fast and friendly, and the apple cake alone is worth making the trip for! Wegain quickly rose to the top of the list of our new favorite vegan restaurants in Istanbul. Highly recommended!

Pros: Excellent Food, Great Atmosphere , Fair Price

The vegan breakfast was disappointing

I got the vegan kahvalti and it was just three slices of bread with stuff I could have got at a non-vegan-friendly hotel: tahini, margarine, jam, olives, a couple of small salads. Really nothing special.

It's possible lunch is better, but I wouldn't go here for breakfast.

Pros: Open early - from 8:30

Cons: Disappointing food , Not fully vegan

Lovely lunch spot

We both had the '3 options' followed by baklava. Selection of salads and dishes served chilled and well flavoured/seasoned - perfect lunch spot. Good selection of hot drinks too.

Super cute!

Super adorable mom & sons café with tons of veg options to try. Menu was just what they felt like making that day. I ordered a Turkish breakfast and ended up getting a huge food spread and everything was incredible! I definitely recommend adding it to your Istanbul itinerary!

Amazing food

Delicious Turkish homemade food made by the two women that run the business. They cook really good. It's a vegetarian place but a big part of the offer is vegan. Good price as well:
three options for 55 TL, four options for 65 TL. Nice staff. Good for trying quality Turkish dishes.

Cheap and delicious

All food tasted like homemade. I really enjoyed my meal, it was: lentil soup, rice with veggies and potato salad. The orange juice and apple cake were amazing also. I will definitely come here again.

Pros: Good price (55TL per 3 types food on the plate), Friendly staff

A lovely meal for like $4

Had a combination plate of lentils, beans and potatoes that really hit the spot after a week of so-so vegetarian options.

Delicious big meal !!

Where do I start?? Big variety of options to choose from. Everything was vegan, except for 2 desserts and 1 pastry that were vegetarian. Completely obsessed with the vegan baklava, it was soo good. Never tried anything like that. I chose the plate with 4 options and it was amazing. The staff is so nice and they offered me Turkish Tea out of their kindness and gave me directions for the next places i wanted to go visit. Ended up taking more baklava and mini chocolate cakes to go. A total splurge but very worth it.

Pros: Many delicious vegan options, Vegan desserts , Very sweet and kind people

Cons: Maybe the price was high, but i had dessert to go.

Great vegan options for low price!

This was the closest good vegan options to the city touristy center. Food came out fast, and was really good. Menu was mostly vegan. You can get 3 "appetizers" for 45, or 4 for 50 lira. Felt very full after my meal. I got the shakshouka, sarma, lentil balls, and dolmas. The shakshouka was my favorite. The lentil balls were alright. Sarma and dolma were great.

Delicious vegan kahvaltı

Small coffee place run by women in Beyoğlu, serving all vegan or vegetarian food. We tried the vegan breakfast (kahvaltı) and it was delicious! The portion are generous and food is really fresh. I highly recommend if you visit this area of Istanbul 😊.

Pros: All vegan or vegetarian , Good portion, Women-runner
