Enjoyed their vegan rice wrap! - Edit
They have indeed one vegan option, but I really enjoyed their rice wrap. It’s very nice for breakfast or lunch. When we were there there was somebody who spoke English perfectly and was very kind.

Limited menu - snack only - Edit
Very limited menu. Only one vegan option but only like 5 options on the whole menu. Server was very nice and asked about allergies but could speak no English.

Delicious snack! - Edit
The food was absolutely delicious. I had a porcini rice wrap and it was super flavorful and a great snack. If I wanted to have a meal I would buy two but one was good enough for a snack!
Read moreIt was nice that everything was labeled if there was a vegan or vegetarian option. Workers were knowledgeable and helpful!

Delicious vegan options - Edit
It was wonderful to have a real vegan option on holiday in Lijiang. I had the speciality rice wrap, fig puer tea, and quinoa porridge.

Suitable for a vegan snack - Edit
Clearly labeled vegan options.
Read moreFriendly, English language speaking, informative staff.
The savoury rice wraps are adequate in size and adequate in flavour.
The heirloom thin cut truffle oil crispy potatoes are amazing.
Inexpensive considering the ingredients are mostly organic, local and free from additives.
Pros: Convenient for vegan snack
Cons: Plastic cups

Something Different - Edit
Staying in Lijiang I wasn't expecting much but we found Rice Slurp easily enough right in the heart of the old town. The staff were really friendly, the girl who served us spoke excellent English and everything was in Chinese & English. We had the two vegan options, rice pancakes one with a spicy savoury flavour, the other a sweeter more dessert type option. We also had the freshly made crisps with truffle oil & a hot drink of pine nut milk which was very tasty. A great little find when there's limited choice in the area. Just down from here we found a cafe bar with an Oatly sign so I got my coffee fix sorted.

Good if you are hungry and nearby - Edit
If you are hungry and there is nothing else around, it is a good stop for a hearty snack, but it is not a meal. The wrap with peanuts was tasty, but even when you have a drink inside, they serve you in a plastic cup - for which I suggested them to use regular mugs or glasses. We ended up roaming around looking for veggies afterwards.

Tasty snack - Edit
We had some of the wraps here, both the savoury and sweet were decent quality but not exceptional. The truffle oil chips were also quite good. We got a little vial of green lentils as a complimentary souvenir which was a nice touch.

By the way the menu has changed unfortunately. It taste good but not value for money. Menu is English and vegan vegetarian gluten-free friendly. Good for those people like as we.

expensive place - go for a drink or snack not lunch! - Edit
Good that this place marks vegan options on the menu. The pine nut milk was very rich and tasty, definitely worth a try. Vegan snacks are the sweet rose rice cake or some home made crisps without the cheese- both a tasty snack but very pricey for what they are. Staff are lovely

Had one of the best vegan bites of China in there - Edit
I had one of my best food experiences in China in that little restaurant. The organic sweet rose rice cake was so superb I had to order a second one. There wasn’t much choice but I was glad to be able to eat some vegan food in China.
