A small and friendly gem.

Rice is a small restaurant on 14th. They have limited space inside, but we did not have trouble getting a table on a Friday evening. There is additional seating outside. The vegan options are clearly marked on the menu.

My wife and kid had pad Thai which they said was excellent. My wife had egg with hers and it came as a very thin scrambled egg placed over the noodles. The pad Thai had a great sauce, crushed peanuts, and red tofu.

I had a Thai basil stir fry which had many beautiful and fresh vegetables. The sauce was a mushroom base and was both sweet and spicy.

I highly recommend Rice. Service was fast and pleasant, the seating felt intimate, but not too crowded, and the food was delicious.
