Amazing vegan pizza!

Make your own 18inch very good value - two for less than $32!
Cooked fresh in 25 minutes.
Sit on the tables outside and enjoy!

Pros: Fresh vegan pizza , Chose your own toppings , Great value

Many many vegan options

Surprised with the vegan pizza and muffins!

It's not rare to find empty selves, most of the times they run out of tofu.

I find annoying that they state that both their meats and fish are sustainable etc etc.

Busy Whole Foods

Clean and efficient WF; can be quite busy because of its central location near Logan Circle.

Standard fare

Whole Foods is nothing new, but it is always a standard to which you know you can happily be veg or vegan.

The produce here is nicely presented and bountiful, with local produce marked accordingly. Look for sale prices and what's in season if concerned for a high cost. The prepared foods are always marked vegan or vegetarian at the hot bar and the salad bar, and in the prepared food glass enclosed cases. I feel that this place has a lot of good vegan prepared foods, including soups and roasted veggies.

In the rest of the store, yes, you can find non-dairy milks and ice creams, grain staples, vegan snacks, vegan baking items, vegan yogurts, fake meats, raw foods and just about anything else your veg heart seeks.

Pros: Labels vegan foods in their cooked food area, Produce is fresh

Cons: Commercial

Whole Foods Market - P St, Washington DC

What to say about this place. So many positives yet so many negatives.

This place is a supermarket aimed at the pricy end of the market. It has no pretentions to be all vego and hence my comment about the negatives. The other side of the coin though is that there is a big choice of really great stuff for those of a veg*n persuasion. I had brekkie there today from the hot food section, tofu ranchero no less which I can now report is a Mexican style tofu scramble with green beans. It was fab

Pros: Big choice

Cons: Nowhere near all vego

Whole Foods Market

Decent place if you do not have a place to eat and are in a hurry. This place has very few vegan options from the deli, but there are vegan options on the shelf and in the frozen section. Unlike other Whole Foods if you are not use to the ABCD line plus the numbers, look at people moving along in the lines. Or ask someone. East coast and West coast Whole Foods are totally different.

During travels, visited daily!

As a tourist, I was confused about where to park but eventually figured out to turn the corner and pull into the underground lot. This store was super fun -- the seating area for eating prepared foods was clean and inviting with choice of booth or bar stool seating. They have a brick oven pizza station with ready-to-go vegan slices... I highly recommend to keep an extra slice in your hotel room to eat for breakfast (no refridgeration needed, yum). The deli counter staff was friendly and happy to make me a vegan hummus sandwich for the road.

Pros: good prepared food section, serves coffee, vegan pastries

Cons: busy in city, parking initially confusing
