Decent vegan menu - Edit
We got the risotto and Zuppetta. I was disappointed they didn’t have any vegan pasta options. I’m not generally a risotto fan, but this one was very good and filling. The basil sauce was delicious. The Zuppetta was not a soup as I was expecting, but a bunch of olives 🫒 artichokes, and other vegetables roasted in a tomato sauce. The focaccia bread was not the soft bread I was expecting, but more like crunchy bruschetta base. It was ok, but I wished they called it something else since the crunchy bread was not nearly as good as what I normally think of as focaccia—soft, herby warm goodness. The chocolate covered strawberries were good but very cold like they had just been taken out of the freezer. Not worth the $15. I’m glad they have a vegan menu, but the menu has a lot of room for improvement. It would be great if they could add a pasta dish and some options with more protein like tofu or seitan. Most of their vegan offerings are just vegetables prepared in a fancy way.

They’re trying - Edit
I came with my mom because she wanted seafood and they have a full vegan menu. I ordered the “zuppetta” as an appetizer which was a bunch of vegetables with a spicy tomato sauce and some focaccia. It was pretty good but I wouldn’t have described it as a soup.
Read moreAs an entree I ordered the “apple wood smoked” which was grilled eggplant, roasted potatoes and mixed sautéed vegetables served under one of those glass lids that they lift to release the smoke. It was okay but a little bland, I needed to add some salt. It also completely lacked any protein component. Lentils or grilled tofu would have been a good addition and really brought it together in my opinion. It wasn’t bad but not really worth $22.
The service was a little all over the place but I attribute that to trying to navigate covid reopening procedures.
The cocktails were delicious and very reasonably priced.
All in all not a bad experience and I definitely appreciate the effort behind the vegan menu but there might be a better, less expensive option.

Disappointing - Edit
Went to this restaurant because we found that they offer a vegan menu. I have to say it was amongst the most disappointing vegan meals that I've ever had. I ordered the "Modern Cartouche" which was an entrée for $21. What I received was a small to medium size portion of vegetables in a "curry" sauce/broth that was essentially devoid of any flavour. No grains, no legumes, no tofu, no seitan, no bread, no rice.... just vegetables. It was essentially what I would consider a side dish of vegetables with enough calories to sustain a large rabbit. In a world where delicious vegan options abound, especially in a place like California, they should be embarrassed to serve this. Though the server we had was polite and professional she had essentially no knowledge of the menu, even after returning from the kitchen to seek some answers about the vegan menu.

Delicious gourmet vegan experience - Edit
Worth the expense. The restaurant is beautiful, with a modern aesthetic interior, designed by the chef with pieces from local artists. Our server was friendly and sociable. Vegan menu was made available on request. Our appetizer was good, and my main course, an $18 risotto, was well worth it, looking absolutely amazing and rich with complex flavors. Afterwards, the chef came out to let us try a vegan ice cream that was prepared on the house, just for us! This was such a treat; our chef was uniquely talented and quite kind. I'll note that this implies not many vegans eat here, and the staff seems to regard veganism as a dietary restriction, not an ethical choice. Be aware that while locally sourced, many animal products, including foie gras are served here. I'd recommend this restaurant for any vegan traveling the Oregon Coast and looking for a fancy night out.

Not a place for value. My dish was $21 and was 4 slices of zucchini, 4 slices of eggplant and alpha Koba sprouts.

A must-go! - Edit
My husband and I ate here last night and we were pleasantly surprised! We’ve been eating out all week, California to Oregon to Washington and back to Oregon, and this by far was the healthiest meal I’ve had. I had the Caribbean curry, mixture of veggies in a delicious sauce, and the strawberry “soup” for dessert. It has strawberry sorbet and fresh berries. Mmmmmm. Jennifer was a friendly server, who took care of our every need. The chef personally made us vegan mango- violet mini “shots” (non alcoholic), as well as an appetizer of carrot juice and a little falafel. It’s worth the money ( it was around $60 for 2, no alcohol).
