Spacious restaurant with vegan options!

Update Nov. 11, 2022:

We used to go here without making a reservation, but they told us today that we need to make a reservation to order vegan food at least one day in advance now. It's unfortunate because that's one less option of food we can eat on the fly. We rarely plan our lunches the day before, so we probably won't be going very much anymore.

Original Post:

We visited the restaurant without making a reservation. There is another restaurant that has vegan options just around the corner, so we figured even if they didn't have anything at this place we could just go to the other place again.

We asked upon entering if they had any vegan food and they pointed to the Tsuyu-Yakisoba on the menu and said "We can prepare this for vegans." Maybe if you make a reservation they have some other options, but on this day they only offered us the one option so we both got the vegan Tsuyu-Yakisoba.

The soup was flavorful and it came with a side of tempura which consisted of mushrooms, pumpkin, and eggplant. There were also Japanese pickles (tsukemono) and some toppings for the soup (yakumi).

The restaurant itself was very spacious and had both Japanese tatami-style seating as well as Western seating (table and chairs). We went for lunch at 11:00 on a Sunday. It wasn't too crowded, but it also wasn't empty. Only about 20~30% of the seats were filled while we were there. They took our temperatures upon arrival and had us fill out a form with our contact information just in case.

Overall, it was nice. I was happy to be able to try the Tsuyu-Yakisoba which is a popular regional dish. It's always good to have more vegan options in the area.
