Reformhaus halt

Ganz gute Auswahl an veganen „Grundnahrungsmitteln“.

Alright

This health food store is EXACATLY like every other of the chain "Reformhaus" in Germany, hence they have "Wilmersburger Cheese" like all the others do, too. This is not surprising, however I admit it IS really difficult to get anything vegan other than spreads in Bremerhaven, so it is a bonus to have anything like it.
They are also located at Bürgermeister Smidt Straße, not far from Klimahaus.

Pros: helpful staff, great range of products, health food chain found all over Germany

Cons: too expensive for frequent shopping

Veggie heaven in Bremerhaven!

I was totally surprised to find such a fantastic shop in the city of Bremerhaven, which otherwise is not really a nice place for vegans. The shop is not especially big, but apart from the usual health food, juices and make up, there are several sections of vegan food, all marked with green "vegan" labels. There is one section of bread, sweets and cookies, including special sweets such as nut chocolate or wine gum which you can't get in your average health food store. Then there are a large section of spreads, and a section in the freezer with many special things that you can't get as easily in Germany: Apart from the usual tofu there are several kinds of vegan cheeses!!! And most prices are even a little cheaper than in other German shops I know of.
Moreover, the staff are very friendly and also offer to order things you can't find in the shop.

This Reformhaus is located in Geestemünde, south of central Bremerhaven, but there are more shops around the city as it is a small chain.

Pros: Large vegan choice , Very friendly service, Very good value
