Very limited vegan offers - Edit
They offered two salads and a casserole without the cheese and cream when asked, since the menu doesn't have vegetarian or vegan dishes marked.
Read moreThe casserole with baked vegetables tasted alright, but it was really just veggies with tomato sauce.

Vegan options limited and dull - Edit
I went here because it on this app- but the options were not on the menu. I don’t speak German, so when we asked they offered us a dinner main dish of pumpkin falafel, with roasted vegetables and rice or potato’s. I got about 8 small falafel balls that were delicious - and a plain baked potato- no sauce or margarine and no vegetables . Very boring

Sehr lecker und bezahlbar - Edit
Sehr leckeres Essen.

alright - Edit
When speaking to the staff they are happy to help find options for vegans, although the variety is not that big to choose from. When I was there, I had the choice between a salad and pasta with tomatosauce. The quality of the food seems good and the portions are quite big for the price. Not that innovative, but alright.

Cons: not many options, vegan food is rather improvised

One of Bremerhaven's few vegan options - Edit
Caspar David & Co, named after the famous German romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich, is quite a sophisticated restaurant/café, and to find one like this in Bremerhaven that is NOT a fish restaurant is already something!
Read moreOn the other hand, the lack of vegan choices is a little disappointing, there are quite a lot of vegetarian meals, but all with cheese or cream as substantial ingredients, so there is not much left for vegans - basically the salad, the penne (if you take it without parmesan) and bruschetta, which you can get in any Italian restaurant. However, it's better than nothing and a change to the usual Chinese or chips! The salad is really huge, so it's a really filling meal and it has lots of different and delicious ingredients like cashew nuts and fresh fruit of different kinds. The Bruschetta is so much that it can serve as a light lunch in its own right.
Service is ok and the location is very good, just off Theodor-Heuss-Platz, adjacent to the the city's main shopping street and opposite the theatre.
Pros: Great location , Delicious salad, Huge portions
Cons: Not many vegan choices
