Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Real Fake Meats exceeded all my expectations. We shared three large meals between three people, and the portions were so generous we couldn’t finish it all!
Read moreThe donair was an absolute standout—so good I wished I could eat it endlessly. The poutine was also fantastic, with the coconut curd cheese adding a unique twist. The mac and cheese was tasty but ranked third among the dishes we tried.
For dessert, the lemon pie was delicious but way too sweet for me. The meringue was thick and heavy, so sharing a piece would’ve been a better choice.
If you’re in Halifax, don’t miss this spot for creative and hearty plant-based eats!

In town for a 1/2 the day. After eating food off NCL Breakaway this was a HUGE treat. The real fake burger was fantastic. Poutine was good to try. Had a piece of chocolate torte to go, that was yummy too. Good to see the utensil on to go are compostable and the plates and utensil for in-house meal are reusable. Sure wish we had a place like this near us. BTW, there’s a couple other vegan friendly shops near by.

The good here is amazing. My partner and I shared a donair, vegan chicken sandwich and fried with gravy. The gravy was so good I drank it. I also loved the sandwich. The donair was a bit strange, but I think I just don't love sweet sauce on meat! The seitan was life changing. We also had grapefruit punch, which was delish.

The everyday menu has so many great choices. You will want to come back. We took several more items from the butchery as well. The spicy pepperoni was our favorite. Several cheeses are offered too. One of our favorite places in all of Nova Scotia.

We went here in search of vegan Halifax donair and my husband (who was craving the original) was very impressed. We split a chicken caeser salad and it was incredible!! So flavourful, still craving it. The space to eat in was comfortable and the staff were great. We also took some frozen food home to heat up for our Christmas meal. I had the Buffalo Chickn Burger and I LOVED it. The chickn had a perfect texture with a nice crunchy crust. I'm glad I didn't get fries with it because the burger was filling enough.

I’m not from Canada, so I was not familiar with Donair. When in Rome! When I first got it, I thought it looked small, but as I was eating it… It was stuffed with seitan  and it lasted a long time. Really enjoyed the coconut sauce with that little kick of sweetness, and the seitan had great spice flavoring.

Read moreI am amazed by the creativity and the preparation that goes into these meals. They turn all of our childhood favourite meals into better veganized versions. It is the best! If you are in Halifax, you must go!
Some of my favourite products of theirs include: their vegan maple bacun, their mac and cheeze, "chicken" cutlets, all the cheezes they make in house, etc. One of the best meals I have eaten from RFM was their unchicken and waffles.
I wish this was a fanchise and that their products were available elsewhere in Canada.

Our experience was mixed. We had the donair and a burger with curly fries. The fries were great, burger average, and the donair not great. The latter was literally fake meat and bread, hardly any veggies or sauce. While the meat tasted good in small portions, I really couldn't finish such an unbalanced dish.
