Not for people who can’t eat spicy!! - Edit
I’ve been here together with my partner and we had rice with 5 different curries.
Read moreWe had quite of a struggle to communicate with the staff.
My girlfriend can’t eat spicy at all which we mentioned, at the end she couldn’t eat much as it was very spicy.
I found it tasty but agree it’s spicy we still felt in our belly the rest of the day.
I’m quite surprised no one else here mentioned except of two people.
However it’s vegan, gluten-free, organic for very low cost, so I guess worth a try.

Hier ist alles zu 100% vegan und man kann unter vielen verschiedenen traditionellen Gerichten auswählen wie verschiedene Reis Sorten oder verschiedene Currys. Zudem gibt es auch echt sri lankesische vegane Süßspeisen.

Healthy, wholesome food - Edit
I ordered delivery from Ranbath and was very pleased! I got the rice with curry (it's nice that they offer an option with less rice and more veggies!) and it was super yummy! There were six types of vegetables (they change the curries daily and post a list on their instagram stories-when you order, you can specify which ones you want!) Portion was not very big, but sufficient for me.
Read moreMy only complaint was that my food arrived a little bit cold but I guess that's due to the fact they use eco friendly packaging.
I also got a brown rice hopper filled with coconut for dessert, but it wasn't really my cup of tea. However, if you enjoy less sweet desserts, you might like it!

Really tasty (and cheap) food but it’s kinda a ‘point and eat’ situation. They have a series of rice and curries in bowls for you to pick from as much/many as you wish.

Read moreThey give you a banana leaf with your choice of rice and like up to 10 different gravies. All is delicious and you can just eat it with your hand - like the locals do (of course they also provide cutlery if you want).
No plastic, no one-way-stuff.
They also have a variety of deep fried delicatesses like breaded mushroom steak, breaded chili / pepper etc
I also really liked the huge selection of desserts. The food is changing day by day, so there is so much to try. Would always come back there. Probably will have breakfast there tmr as they open already at 6 am.
Pros: Explosion of delicious tastes, Desserts!!!, Spicy fresh chili dip to spice it up

Authentic Sinhala food cooked to perfection. You can taste a perfect balance of spices and the natural flavours of the vegetables, yams and legumes in the curries. Their Sri Lankan sweets are fine but not the best. And the ambiance isn't the prettiest

I tried all of the sweets as well as several of the rices, side dishes and curries. All were authentic, with great ingredients, freshly made and delicious. One of my favourite whole food plant based and vegan restaurants in the world. I had delivery to my hotel in Colombo through uber eats, very convenient! Warning, some of the items can be a bit spicy or different textures, take small bites and savour the amazing variety of subtle flavours of these culinary delights! #Veganuary

We tried two desserts after and they didn't disappoint either.
Service was great.

Super affordable the rice bowl with 5 different curries was only 650 rupees. The curries were very tasty and had a good range. All of the curry was vegan which is great! They also had fresh juices. The coffee was not so great but lovely staff

It was simply amazing. The place is very cute, employees are nice and they also sell some ethically produced items there such as small baskets.

I’m really considering not trying any local dishes at all because everything turns out inedible and spicy as hell. Got a delivery from this place. Wrote then not to add onions and make everything not spicy. How do you think it was? Hella spicy. The only thing that was good is dang friits. They also forgot to put the vegan cutlet that I paid for as an extra. #Veganuary
