They brought us the wrong food and made us pay for it even though we said it was not the right one

Very good food - Edit
Firstly the food was amazing, the best dal we’ve had (though it is our first night in Sri Lanka). We would recommend the dosa which are huge!!
Read moreUnfortunately our server didn’t really understand vegan, so it was a challenge to order as he kept suggesting paneer dishes.
Things arrived at different times but that was okay.
The place was very authentic and it was all locals eating there.

Lovely veggie Indian food - Edit
This was probably the best Indian food we’ve ever had! The staff were very knowledgeable about what was vegan or not. The aircon was definitely appreciated too. Highly recommend to any veggie/vegan tourists in Colombo. We ordered way too much food (which they had told us before they bought it out) but we saved it for lunch the next day and it only came to £15 for the two of us!

Great Indian food - Edit
Semi-local restaurant. More Indian than Sri-Lankan food. A/C area upstairs.
Read moreExtensive menu, plenty of vegan options but not labelled. Need to ask as make sure
I had mushroom masala dosai & idly with variety of dips (tomato, coconut & dal)
As local, no cutlery. Fingers only. Nice local experience.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, A/C offered, Very cheap and local

Delicious vegan options - Edit
We were there spontaneously in the afternoon & there was almost no space left. It's always a sign of good food when locals also eat in a restaurant.
Read moreThe portions were huge, the staff was very helpful & not expensive.

Delicious! - Edit
A full vegetarian menu, which is comforting, but has specific menu items labelled that use ghee, which was helpful although I our waiter assured me the dosa I ordered was without dairy and it was super tasty! Was super cheap and service was great! It was full of locals which is always a good with and I definitely recommend!

The fruit juices are yummy; just fruit from the blender. 😁

Average Place - Edit
The dishes are OK, pretty average. Big place with plenty of seating but the place is quite grotty and rundown. The prices are cheap. You might prefer to get a take away then sit to eat here.
Read moreFood tastes OK; it's Southern Indian food and they have a good selection. Frequented only by locals expect to be stared at. They speak some English and understand vegan.
Pros: Authentic Indian food, Cheap, Have vegan food
Cons: Run down place, They're not good at cleaning up, Dishes are average
