Used to be my favorite vegan option in Lawrence. New location not good.

In 2024 they moved locations from Mass to New Hampshire. Old location was great, even though it was kind of chaotic in there sometimes with the line to order and seating. That place had more of a "fast food" vibe where you order at the counter, then they just bring the food out to your table. Their ramen was always kind of pricey for what you get, but it was justifiable when it's "self service" and I felt like the bowl was always super full of ingredients so much that you couldn't hardly even stir all the stuff.

Now they moved to a huge new location and they are trying to make it a "full service restaurant" with waiters who need a tip, plus also they raised their prices on each ramen bowl to pay for the higher rent costs presumably. Not worth it to pay $20+ (after tip & taxes) for a bowl of noodles, broth, some cabbage and 4 measly strips of tofu (the cheapest protein). All cheap ingredients yet they still wanna charge you $17+ for a bowl? It's craziness if you ask me. Better off going to Zen Zero. It also seemed like the food was worse at the new location, smaller portion and the noodles weren't even fully done when they brought it to the table. Had to wait for the noodles to soften up before eating. Used to get a lot of stuff piled on top of the noodles & broth and this time it was the bare minimum. Instead of having 30 employees walking around randomly they should have stuck with their business model that worked while they were on Massachusetts.

The one good thing I will say is that when you order and say "make it vegan" at least the waiter knows what you're talking about here. They still brought the non-vegan aioli out to the table even though I specifically said "no aioli" but at least it was on the side.. Still wasteful though.

Cons: Expensive, overpriced noodles, broth and cabbage

Delicious Vegan Friendly

Important Info: this restaurant moved. Now located at 900 New Hampshire St. at the corner of 9th Street. It is adjacent to the hotel that has 900 on the building.

Great place to hang out and chat. As another reviewer said, just say “make it vegan” and they do. This is a laid back place … never felt rushed to end our time there… even when closing time came. Large portion… we get to an enjoy the food again tomorrow.

Pros: Casual, friendly, laid back, They know vegan , Very close to shops on Massachusetts Street

Cons: Wish they offered Mocktails

Ramen for life

A couple clearly labeled vegan options. Can be made gluten-free too.

Pretty tasty and easy to order

I ordered the Goddess bowl and just had to say "make it vegan" and it came out vegan! I think the big things they had to change were the noodles and not serving the aioli. I would be curious to try others if others can be made vegan too.

favorite vegan spot in Lawrence

I LOVE the goddess bowl made vegan from ramen bowls. It’s my go-to anytime I visit. Their edamame is also great.

Pros: Delivery

Cons: Long wait times during dinner hours , Fairly expensive

Good, but they always mess up your order

If you're vegan, you need to ask for the special thin noodles instead of the normal noodles they use. However, I've been here three times and everytime they give me the wrong noodles. It's good food, don't get me wrong, but chiefs aren't careful at all when it comes to making your order.

Pros: Good food and vegan options

Cons: Expensive for what you're getting....and many time

expensive ramen

I really liked this place and they were very accommodating to dietary needs! That being said, it was still pretty pricey for a bowl of ramen.

I dig it.

I've made a 30 minute trip to Lawrence just to eat here before! The food is always fresh and the people are always friendly. Note that most of the items need to be made vegan (some noodles are made with egg and the fried rice has fish sauce in it). Expect to pay about $10-$12 a bowl, but the portions are on the bigger side -so it's worth it!

Pros: Fun atmosphere, Many options for different tastes

Cons: They don't have vegan kimchi, Slightly crowded and limited seating

Unique and Tasty

Most of the menu can be made vegan, but you need to request it. That said, the staff is knowledgable (just ask about the broth and noodles). The dishes are creative and very tasty! There is a lot of attention to detail with the ramen -- it's not just a simple noodle soup. I'm particularly fond of the ghost ramen. It's very spicy but has a great flavor. The character of the place is very charming and unique as well. It's my favorite place to eat in Lawrence!

Pros: many options available, great tasting food, great atmosphere and service

Cons: not a lot of "default" veggie options
