Service...

Have patronised them since old days at little India but they've really cut down on a lot of things past few years. Food price is not 1 $. It's 2 to 3$. Closed on Saturdays. Doesn't accept cards or nets, so need to bring cash. Staff are mostly temp staff.

Pros: Good variety., Quality nor bad., Can order without onion garlic

Cons: Expensive and has service charge , Only cash payments., Small portions

One of the best indian restaurant

Staff are friendly and approachable.
Their management of dishes are good.
Fast dish preparations.
They have different types of seating ambiance. Comfortable, cozy and more.
I would be coming back for more meals in the future!

Pros: Variety of vegan options.

Cons: Price slight high, but quite worth.

Deepavali lunch

While the menu does indicate and provide options for different dietary requirements, it is best to communicate with the staff on your requirements. I had specifically mentioned that I did not want onion and garlic in my meal and ordered an item that was marked’NOG’ (no onion garlic), I was served sambar that contained onion and garlic. It was only upon asking the staff if the various gravy served contained onion and garlic that I found out about it.

Pros: Location is within walking distance from MRT

Cons: Parking may pose an issue, No English explanation on menu

Mediocre Indian Food

We tried Raj one night for dinner. They have a large menu with vegan options, but make sure you tell the staff you are vegan before ordering. Our food came with paneer in it. The kashmiri naan was not to our liking. The food was reasonably priced. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Cons: Average food

Great Indian food

The masala dosai came in the shape which I was stunned as it’s not the usual shape I had before 😆 it’s so crispy and yummy!! 😋

The hara bara kebab is very yummy! Served with the coriander sauce or as known as mint chutney.

Vegan option is clearly stated in the menu. Overall I like the food here and will definitely come back again!
I wanted to give 5-Star review, but since there is room for improvement in their service, I gave only 4-Star. I would expect some kind of service if there is service charge in the restaurant.
p/s: There is a Chinese menu available at the race course outlet. Recommended items for hot and sour soup and momo dumpling!!

Pros: Many vegan options, clearly stated on the menu, Yummy food

Cons: Rooms for improvement for the service

A decent place

I ordered the Hara Bara Kebab. It’s ok. Make sure to ask for chutney without yogurt. I also ordered the Kadai Mushroom with vegan garlic naan. It’s a pretty good dish. A little spicy for me.

Pros: Vegan options labeled

favourite Indian food

Went out with my only vegetarian close Friend and joined her for dinner after her attachment at biopolis - the food was really amazing! She had some garlic naan and the special masala? dosai, while I had the vegetarian navrathan korma veganised. The naan was warm and fresh and lightly sweet and went perfectly with the curry. Especially liked the curry which was extremely interesting as it was slightly sweet even though my Friend didn't really like it. Slightly over priced, but really worth the price. The second time I had this (eggplant curry), the entire serving of curry was demolished by my friends within 5min, faster than any other food.

Excellent, Authentic Indian Food at Great Prices

This place was a great find. Although at first the staff seemed quite aloof and uninterested, they did warm up over the evening and the food is absolutely excellent. We ordered a variety of Northern and Southern Indian dishes, as well as drinks (chai, lassi, chaas) and every single item was not only authentic in its flavoring, but also quite delicious and balanced.

I cannot recommend it highly enough. Will definitely return.

Pros: Excellent food, Very reasonable prices, Pleasant set up

Cons: Slightly out of the way area

Excellent Indian food

This restaurant has a great ambiance situated quite close to NUS and a short walk from the Buona Vista MRT. The range of food available here is excellent and the food is pure vegetarian. Though the price is slightly on the higher side (costs around 12-20SGD per meal), it is well worth it.

Pros: range of options, location, ambience

Fancy any North and South Indian Vegetarian Fare?

Yes, then maybe go for Raj Restaurant which has an extensive menu with 200 dishes ... WOW.

Besides having a non-vegetarian Indian Restaurant - Jade of Indian, Raj @ Biopolis and Cafe Salivation @ Little India (just next door from Raj @ Little India) are also under the same group holding. Raj @ Biopolis and Cafe Salivation (offering Fusion Vegetarian Cuisine, Mexican, Continental Vegetarian Fare etc) are vegetarian restaurant.

Hidden in Biopolis Way, Raj is a draw for the working people of the area during weekday and it serves up South and North Indian Cuisine. It is open on Sunday too! Its offbeat location may be a great for hanging out with pals (or dine alone) over brunch on a lazy weekend afternoon indulge in the surrounding peaceful and quiet environment.

After Chef Danny's Zen Vegetarian (Shojin Ryori Cuisine) Cooking Class at Onaka, I passed by Raj again, so go for another round of good food.

Anyway, I had Uppuma (which is under the Special Category of the South Indian Dishes on the menu) @ $2.80+ and Masala Tea @ $2.50+. The friendly waiter came to check whether the food was fine (great service). Well, it turned out acceptable and delicious.

Pros: Friendly Staff, excellent service, good value
