So many vegan options - Edit
This menu is filled with vegan marked options, which is great. They even had a good tofu scramble bagel, which made breakfast amazing. Would highly recommend.

Best vegan food in sri lanka - Edit
Wow! What a place...chilled out vibe in the centre of busy Ella.
Read moreMusic is easygoing and the vibe is perfect for hanging out with friends and enjoying a nice meal and or drinks.
Been coming here loads so decided to review.
As a vegan it's rare to find a western style restaurant that not only offers a huge amount of vegan choices from the offset but also doesn't try to cater for the meat market. I'd say 70% of the menu is vegan...with 85% veggie and the remainder is non-veg.
Over the many trips I've tried almost the entire food and drinks menu. Personal favourite are the crispy mushroom burger, the pumpkin gnocchi, gram omlette and smoothie bowls.
The drinks menu also doesn't disappoint.
I'm impressed at their understand of vegan food, the menu is well labeled and even shows gluten free options.
Most meals served come with a generous salad which is colourful and tasty.
Decent price and big portions!
Oh and they support the local dog charity and sell some products that are working to support rural women which is great to see businesses doing this!
And their resident dog is the friendliest, cuddliest dog I've met in a long time!
If you're visiting sri lanka it's a must stop visit on your travels around this beautiful island. Bring your non-veg friends too...they will be impressed!
Pros: Fresh and super tasty food, Great vibe , They have a gorgeous cuddly dog
Cons: Nothing!

Such tasty food - Edit
The food here was so lovely, we both had the gram omelette which was both vegan and gluten free. Would definitely recommend it to any vegans wanting a more western meal.

For dinner we had the nachos and the gnocchi. For brunch we had the ‘gram omelette.’
All three were outstanding, for both of us!
Pros: Quality ingredients. Good portions, Plenty of options for vegans, The cafés dog
Cons: Service is poor: staff don’t pay enough attention, Bribing customers w/food 4 tripadvisor5*

Good but overrated - Edit
Busy place, popular with tourists. Has a menu that includes some options that are specifically vegan, which is nice.
Read moreThe food is good but not amazing. Sweet foods, like pancakes, are *very* sweet. Note that the "honey" on the menu is made from palm sugar, not bee honey. Smoothie bowls are pretty standard. The local dishes are good, but there are better options for it in the area (e.g. Matey Hut, Jade Green). Service can be hit-and-miss at busier times of the day. Prices are pretty high for Ella.

The No.1 place to eat as a vegan and veggie in Sri Lanka!!!! - Edit
Super tasty food in a chilled and cosy spot in the centre of Ella. The menu is clearly labelled and offers so many vegan dishes. Also catering for vegetarians, non veg and gluten free diets. I would say 70% of the dishes are vegan or can be made vegan. I particulary loved the crispy mushroom burger, homemade nachos and the smoothie bowls with edible flowers are amazing! They even have vegan mayo and lots of vegan friendly dips. A great find in Ella or even Sri Lanka overall!

Pretty delicious and interesting food - Edit
Visited the restaurant in December 2021. They had clearly marked vegan options on the menu. We went 2 times and we ordered a lot of good food: young coconuts, chips, wraps, soups, burgers, smoothies, sago mango.
Read moreThe staff was quite friendly.
The only thing that I found weird was that the tips were incorporated in the final bill, which we didn't notice the first time, so keep that in mind...

Great vegan options - Edit
After reading other review, I'm confused, and wonder if they changed their menu? We ordered two local dishes, (other reviews said there aren't any local dishes,) the veg Kottu and also the curry. Both were delicious! Kottu wasn't low cal as it was made with coconut milk, but that's what made it so delicious and creamy. The curry was equally awesome and fun to try the 6-7 curries served along with the rice. Prices seemed reasonable. And yes! Their dog is adorable and would prefer you pet him rather than look at the menu. :)

Tasty smoothie bowl, but way too expensive! - Edit
I really enjoyed the Choco Banana smoothie bowl. The soy latte was not bad for SL standards. The staff were nice and the place was nice and chilled. On the flip side, we were unaware the prices were in USD! The 2 bowls and 2 coffees came to $16USD. This was too expensive for what it was.

Really good smoothie bowl and a fair café latté. - Edit
Tucked upstairs in a cosy terraced cafe, they offer a really good range of vegan options. We opted for the choco banana smoothie bowl which did not disappoint. They did well at substituting “western” smoothie bowl elements with local fare. The coffee, while not being barista standard, does a fair café latté by Sri Lankan standards. I preferred the coconut milk to the soy milk however my partner preferred the soy. Try and get the cosy couch seating at the front of the cafe and watch the world go by.

lots of options - Edit
this place is always busy and for good reason as there is so many options for vegan and vegetarian. a couple times we couldn’t get a table as they are running on slightly lower occupancy because of the gas shortage. had the four veggies curry one night and whilst it was tasty it didn’t have loads of flavour so maybe this place is better for western options you can’t get elsewhere in ella.

Disappointing - Edit
Lured in by the giant VEGAN / PLANT-BASED sign out front, my friend and I went in. First of all, it’s a bit weird to see this sign, because the menu is full of animal products.
Read moreWe both ordered the Rainbow Bowl…literally white rice with some raw vegetables on top with a little bit of sauce. My friend summarized it perfectly: when people think of vegan food as being boring and tasteless, this is exactly what they are thinking of.
I ordered the pancakes and they were better, but way overpriced.
Service was not horrible, but not worth the 10% service charge tacked onto the bill.
There are far better options in town. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I was here 3 times and it wasn’t great. I had pesto wrap (tasteless), kottu (too salty) and falafel wrap (tasteless). Also I had papaya juice 3 times and it was good only once.

Whilst it’s great that they serve vegan options, both the nachos and the gnocchi were pretty tasteless and disappointing and the nachos were weirdly thick? Like not crunchy??? Idk, not good nachos anyway!
