Restaurant with few vegan options, clearly labeled, such as bruschettas, burger with grilled tofu and curry. I tried the vegan tofu fingers with fries and vegan mayo and it was really good!!

We had the mezza board, side salad, summer vegetables and the vegetable curry followed by the vegan apple tart. This was the best meal we’ve had in three days here.

Quay Street Kitchen - Edit
There were a few Vegan options on the menu. I had a black bean burger that had some roasted veggies on it, comes with fries and a little salad. There was an option for battered tofu (alternative to the fish & chips).

Tofu sandwich - Edit
They had a few vegan options, which is fair because the menu was pretty limited to begin with. I really enjoyed the tofu sandwich. I love tofu! Eggplant was great in it as well. Large portion. Sweet staff when asked about vegan options.

Alright - Edit
I had the tofu fingers. It was nice that they had that, but they weren't very tasty. They could have a marinated tofu, or some other kind of mock fish. The fries were very good, and the little salad too. I would have liked a vegan tartare sauce too.

There were a few options on the menu (curry, sandwich) but then they had a vegan special as well, which is what I got. I liked the restaurant itself too.

tofu + tattoos - Edit
i believe i've been here twice and had the tofu burger, once with a glass of prosecco which afterwards i walked about 20 feet to a tattoo studio, got a walk in appointment and spent 50€ on a tiny tattoo that took about a minute to do but yeah, the burger was good!

Great vegan food in a casual place - Edit
Quay Street Kitchen is cosy and bustling with several great vegan options in the heart of Galway's busiest restaurant street. It's not a vegan place but they have a small menu and about a quarter of the options are vegan, as well as a daily special. The food is nice, but it won't rock your world. However, it's always tasty, well-prepared (no cross-contamination) and served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. They don't accept bookings and it's always busy in the evening so it's good to arrive early for a table.

Ok Vegan Options, Pricey, Inconsistent Menu - Edit
I got the hummus starter plate which was mostly salad hoping I’d at least get pita. I got a single slice of sourdough bread instead ... which was cold... The veggies had no flavor and were cold. The apple tart was cold. The servers were kind and the atmosphere was nice, but then they played top 40 hits which really clashed with the romance vibe of the candles on every table and mood lighting. It’s like the restaurant didn’t know what it wants to be and tried to be everything at once. I went hoping for vegan fish and chips but they had a totally different menu with nothing I was particularly interested in so instead of risking anything I went with the safe choice of the hummus plate which wasn’t safe at all and was mostly salad so, despite paying 12 euro for the plate I was still hungry so I bought the 6 euro dessert and bought food from the grocery store afterwards so I could fill up. Really wish they put more consideration into the protein level of their vegan meals. It is also a very small and cramped space but that is forgivable.
