Chicken in vegan dish, management couldn't care less - Edit
Really disappointing experience with Xian Street Food in Quay Street last night, after years of eating there. Got a large piece of what I assume is chicken in my order. Called last night to talk to someone about it, told it was very busy, someone would call this morning. No word this morning, called after lunch, told manager was very busy, did I want my money back. Explained that I didn't care about the money, just wanted somebody in management to appreciate how fundamentally unacceptable it is to a vegan. No call back by tonight, called again, told Manager was gone home for the evening, might get a call tomorrow...

Only one vegan option - Edit
I went to this place and they said that the only vegan option was the noodle salad. The rest of the menu could not be made vegan because of the broth they use.

Today on my way home from work I decided to try their spicy chips I noticed under the title it included F which meant there was fish in it. I asked the lady could I have it made vegetarian and she said it was no problem.
Read moreUpon arriving home I dished out the chips only to find a piece of chicken.(apologies for the bad photo, I was clearly shook)
I contacted the restaurant and received pretty dismissive customer service.
I will never order from here again, that level of negligence leaves me pretty unforgiving.

Personally I found their menu a bit confusing, they only have the "vegan salad" thing as their vegan options on the menu but when requested I got made a vegan pad thai which was pretty good, not the best ever but good enough lol

Vegetarian Experience - Edit
The last two times that I have eaten at Xian I have found meat in my food. This is after having clearly ordering a vegetarian option. Unacceptable mistake for any restaurant to make. Raises serious concerns about how they prepare their “vegetarian” options.

So fresh - Edit
I went here twice on my trip to Galway (with meat eating friend) so this place was perfect. Everything clearly labelled. The food is so fresh! I had on the 2nd visit the vegan noodle salad and thought it would be disappointing but it was delicious- I had it medium which was hot enough for me - it had a nice kick.

All allergens are clearly marked so it’s easy to order vegan. The food was so fresh and came out super fast! Super tasty I would highly recommend!

Multiple options on the menu, we had two things for dinner. A pan fried Singapore noodle dish and a fried rice dish. Both were very good with fast service and a friendly team. Prices were reasonable. Really not much to complain about here, a gem known by the locals as well as more than one pointed us here for dinner (didn’t know we were vegan either).

Already can't wait to try the other options! Had the vegetable satay with noodles. Was really good! Super fast food. Little cramped upstairs but it's not a long sit down meal anyways.
