Best food in Myanmar

Lots of lovely vegan choices, the best falafels I have ever had and lovely pita bread and hummus! Very filling and very tasty. Would give 5* if I could. Lovely staff also.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Flavourful, Cheap

Cons: Restaurant sells lamb etc.

falafel!

I had the falafel and it was soooo yummy! I’m not sure if it’s vegan tbh because the staff didn’t speak a lot of English and it was quite hard to talk to them, but it seems that it is. It was 5000kyats and it was a lunch deal, so it came with a nice tea.

cool and colourful cafe

This is a cool place with several inexpensive options. Friendly chef Derek gave a warm welcome. He worked in Dubai for many years, where he learned to cook all kinds of authentic middle eastern food. Now, he's come back to his home town to set up this restaurant. Although it is called a 'grill' and serves meat and fish, there are many vegetarian choices. It's an oasis for a mid priced and unusual veggie meal.
