Vegan heaven! - Edit
🥗 It’s hard to pick a favorite restaurant in the EPIC town of vilcabamba but I think we now have a favorite. It’a called Prasadam and it’s a Hare Krishna community. They are the most friendly people , their property is located just on the outer edge of town with many edible trees including the citrus trees that are raining down fruit in these images, their food is very fresh , their food is light, and almost completely vegan! They even offer a $5 vegan almuerzo (lunch special with beverage, soup, entree, and dessert). If you’re ever here in town definitely visit them

Exactly what I wanted - Edit
This restaurant is on the eastern edge of town. Just follow Luis Fernando de la Vega street east until you cross over a small wooden bridge. The restaurant is behind a wall. The property is quiet with grass and fruit trees. You can take in beautiful views from the seating area. I had a beautiful lunch. I ordered the menu of the day and I had soup, a main course, a small dessert and hot tea, all for $5.00. It was exactly what I wanted after traveling. The owners are very sweet and they speak English. This place seemed very family friendly. I would highly recommend the restaurant. I liked it so much I ended up renting a room from them and eating here again the next day. Since the restaurant is on the edge of town, there is no through traffic so it is quiet and tranquil here.
