Delicious vegan option with downsides - Edit
They always have a vegan option available even when you don't see it: you just have to ask. It is VERY good creative cuisine, and it changes with the rest of their menu, so it's worth returning.
Read moreUnfortunately, they make their vegan naan option (served with every meal) the same as their gluten free option. Lovely for the GF vegans, painful for the rest of us. It tastes like cardboard and brings the whole meal down a notch. It's very puzzling...any regular chapatis or even roti would be tastier.
Also I have been served the non vegan naan after ordering vegan and only because I had eaten there before did I catch this. So, yeah, they may not be terribly careful about your vegan order.
Pros: amazing food
Cons: not careful, terrible naan

Good but perhaps not vegan friendly - Edit
My meal was great but I'm pretty sure it had dairy in it! I don't think they understood what I meant by plant based. Menu options are not vegan specific,

sort of - Edit
They said they would make a vegan thali, but mine had cheese on one thing. They could be bigger portioned too. But I would try it again and hope for better.

Cons: BO, cheese, huh?

Great dining option, very tasty - Edit
I tried Poppy at the recommendation of the hostess of another vegan restaurant in Seattle. She suggested making a reservation and letting them know we were vegan since they have vegetarian options on the menu but not specific vegan options. They were more than happy to make a vegan thali for us. I didn't know what they really meant when they talked about a thali, but a thali is somewhat like tapas but all brought on the same tray at the same time. We got a ton of food and the variety was great. Everything tasted great and everyone (6 people in all, 2 non-vegans) enjoyed their meal. I absolutely recommend this restaurant and would go again myself.
