Beware. 2nd visit we were told everything has chicken stock. All salsas too!!! - Edit
Originally we thought this was the Best restaurant for Mexican in Johnson City & Jonesborough, but we were corrected. They staff said they think vegetarian just means no meat. The restaurant considers lard and chicken stock ok even in the vegetarian items on their menu. All their sauces and salsas (chicken seasoning) are not vegetarian per our waitress on 2/04/22. The waiter on 2/02/22 thought he just needed to substitute the Mex rice with white rice and the beans with black beans.

Pros: 3 salsas on salsa bar + black bean dip & chips $0, Fresh made to order items made quickly, Very tasty. Fair prices.
Cons: By 7:30 they close the salsa bar, kitchen staff, are out the door by 8:05 (closes at 8pm Su-Th), Don’t walk in after 7:35! They’re trying to close
