Local vegan dishes - Edit
Great spot to try vegan versions of local dishes. Hours are listed different on their door (no mid day close). Food came out fast and staff was friendly. We loved the adobe, the skewers were good but not our favorite.

buffet monster - Edit
This is my favorite vegan and vegetarian buffet in cebu.
Read moreThe food that will be serve during their buffet are all delicious menu and wholesome food.
For example, they have veganized filipino food and cebuano dishes, but their food does not have any food dye or coloring as this common in cebu and philippines.
It highly recommended to visit and dine in this local restaurant and have a taste on their variety of food. Thus, this place can be considered as a world-class tourist spot as they are being hospitable to a number of people from different walks of life by promoting food tourism through introducing more healthier version of local food.

So delicious, amazing service with a smile. - Edit
So impressed with this place! Such personal service from the lovely lady that works there. She was totally aware what is both fully vegan and gluten free. I highly recommend the Tofu Sisig with red rice (if you want to try a local dish). It was insanely flavorsome!

Nice place but nothing too special - Edit
We finally made it to Planet Vegis and were the only customers. The staff was friendly and there was plenty to choose from the menu so in the end of course we chose too much and rolled out of the Restaurant. The food was good but nothing special. That’s why only 4/5 stars. We had sinigan, chicharon, samosas and mock duck. The portions are big (especially for the Philippines) and the prices reasonable. I would definitely come again but I have other favourite places.

Great Asian vegan meals - Edit
We ate here 3 nights in a row. There’s a large menu of vegan friendly Asian and non Asian dishes and most are made using tofu, mock beef, chicken, duck and even fish! The staff were great, very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed everything we ate from here and would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

amazing buffet - Edit
definitely come for the buffet. it's inexpensive and you get a variety of food that's not available on their regular menu. they are 100% vegetarian with non vegan items marked and when I've been all their buffet was vegan (no cheese or eggs). they also sell some veg products that you can take home.

Not vegan and not healthy - Edit
I visited there last Sunday, based on several good comments on internet. I expected a non-vegan vegetarian menu, as read online, but didn't know that one option was a buffet.
Read moreThe buffet was non vegan. I don't understand why. Just some eggs on the vinaigrette, and cheese on the side. It is so easy to replace by vegan cheese, or no cheese at all, and a vinaigrette definitely don't need eggs.
The soup was great. The rest was ok in term of taste, but I could immediately smell, taste and see it is not at all organic. As the juice that I didn't drink more that a sip, the ingredients used are low quality, even possibly genetically modified.
Veganism is a choice for animal respect, not for health, still, if cheese is used then lead to animal suffering and murder, and the food is not healthy, what is the aim of being "vegetarian"?
Pros: Excellent soup, Reasonable price for a buffet, Friendly staff and owners
Cons: Quality of ingredients, Non vegan buffet, Disappointing juice
RobertLim
Dear veganBirder,
Read moreSorry to hear that but we do not use eggs in all our cuisine especially vinaigrette. surely you must have been misinformed. for the cheese section ..we have an option vegan cheese & cheese for the vegetarians..located near the salad section,,our food are 50% vegan and 50% vegetarian, we never advertised our food as organic, even though most vegetables coming from the local market are mostly organic. as for the juice ..we also have vitamin water with cucumber (alkaline) & plain purified water.

very nice vego restaurant - Edit
called into Planet Vegis and had their lunchtime vegan buffet (200 pesos) however there was also an extensive a la carte menu available ... the restaurant has a very nice ambience and is very clean with plenty of seating ... there were lots of other people enjoying the buffet while I was there ... the buffet food was great with lots of choices including vegetable salad and fruit ... the food is tradition Philippines food cooked with meat substitutes ... the staff are very friendly and the owner spend time meeting and talking with the diners

Savior in meat city! - Edit
Been going to Cebu city on and off for work and I had always been disappointed with the food options. I'm so happy I found Planet Vegis! 95% of their dishes are vegan. I think only 4 items on the menu are vegetarian. They also are conscious of gluten free options. Food is great, you can tell it was prepared with love. Customer service is also awesome. Lunch and dinner buffet available for a steal!

One of the best! - Edit
Plant Vegis is one of the best vegan/vegetarien Restaurant we have been to in Southeastasia and truely the best in the Philippines. The food is high quality, good amount and the taste is wonderful. They have all-you-can-eat buffet on Saturdays and Sundays for only 200 Pesos. The staff and owner are very friendly people always looking after you. The ambient is clean and calm. I am so glad we found this place?

Definitely recommend - Edit
Went three times as it was nearby on my short stopover in cebu - what luck! Not every dish is a winner, but there are so many fantastic choices. Stick to the chi/phil dishes, less impressed by burger. Last night in cebu brought three friends - all agreed it was a fabulous meal. Sometimes they do buffet which looked great. Also, consistently good music. If you've no idea about what to order you can pretty much choose randomly three things and have a great meal.

Really yummy fake meats - Edit
The opening hours need to be updated because we arrived at 4 pm and it was closed but we received a FB message saying they opened at 5pm and returned and it was worth it.
Read moreIt was a pleasant atmosphere, the barbecue is outstanding with a lovely unusual sauce. The Lumpia was the best I've had, like a spring rolls with an unusual stuffing. We had another fake meat dish and a dish of very crispy things which was good.
The Guyabano shakes were really a lovely local sour sop drink. It's well worth the price, tasty and a brilliant introduction to the local cuisine.
Pros: one of the best barbecue dishes , nice atmosphere, good tasting food for the money
Cons: opening hours not clearly marked

Regular customer - Edit
At first glance on the menu I thought it was not an "absolute" Vegan restaurant. I ordered Vegetable biryani, Beef Biryani, and Chilli Mandarin, that was suggested by the owner. Here is my review. I did like the Vegetable Biryani and beef biryani. My only criticism is the use of "fake meat". It seems to be a real vegetarian restaurant but t entirely vegan, although there are vegan dishes
Read moreThis is an updated review. I grew accustomed to the fake meat. It's a good alternative for once meat lovers turned to vegetarian or vegan due to the pressure of PETA.I'm kidding about PETA. One has to try their Tofish, Shrimp Walnut, Chicken nuggets, Humba, and the best Chinese Ngohiong I have ever tasted. May I suggest you end your meal with a banana split and Durian Coffee. I have to warn you that the Durian coffee has a Ritalin effect :) It enhances synaptic transmission three times better than regular brewed or instant coffee.
Pros: Good price and quality, Nice old Spanish music , Friendly Atmosphere
Cons: Uses fake meat
RobertLim
The "fake meat" is a tofu based w/flour mix..but will improve more accordingly, thank you so much

It was my first time to have ala carte meals there so I decided to try a few dishes.
Rice, of course, is available from plain white, brown, and biryani. The biryani is the bomb! Its not too spicy not to strong to the smell also. Its just right.

For those who love grilled meat, the barbecue is a perfect choice. You wouldn’t guess it isn’t meat from how juicy and tender it is. The marinade and the sauce suits the pinoy tongue as it is sweet and savory at the same time.
image
A healthier version of the cholesterol-laden sisig is here! Tofu sisig! I guess it doesn’t sound appetizing but allow your tongue to judge. The dish is perfectly seasoned and has that kick from the chillies we all love from sisig.
image
Mixed mushrooms on the house yo! Why am I so excited with this? Because usually, this dish is flavored with oyster sauce. But guess what? Planet Vegis make their own pseudo-oyster sauce. Out of what? They won’t tell. O.o
image
For dessert we have Knicker Bucker. Its a tropical fruit mix with colorful gulaman drizzled with their special cream sauce and 2 scoops of ice cream – strawberry and vanilla. Need I say more? It’s fruits and ice cream! A great end to a gastronomic journey.
