One star if I could - Edit
The customer service was HORRIBLE. Which I can usually overlook if the food is good, but the food was worse than the customer service. Dumb long wait time for soggy trash. There are better options nearby, avoid this place if you have standards for what you eat. They reopened but I think they are doing it too soon - everything needs improvement.

Unappetizing and poor quality food - Edit
Had an awful experience at Planet Vegan in Blodgett hall… I was excited to try out the menu and have been waiting and following the updates for months… I waited over 30 minutes to get warmed up cafeteria food with canned green beans and undercooked fries… the “tiramisu” was practically inedible… grainy pudding with powdered cocoa that was so sweet I almost had to spit it out… they only offered gluten free buns which fell apart… there is no positive side of our experience… the marketing was pretty good I guess

Best vegan Mac and cheese I’ve had by far - Edit
I checked this place out with my S/O and let me just say we’ve always had a hard time finding a place with great mac and this place was the place for me (he didn’t like that it was somewhat garlicky but I enjoyed it); the mac wasn’t creamy like advertised but it is packed with great flavor. I ordered the Vegan Brisket sandwich and got two sides which was a salad and of course the mac. The salad dressing was very watery and sticky (also very spicy but delicious over all), the brisket (seitan used as mock meat) was pretty dry and needed more sauce, and the mac was the star of the plate for me. Over all the price is fair; during our visit we had an issue which they gave someone our food and we accidentally got theirs (we did trade however so it’s fine, but a funny mistake). Overall there’s plenty of vegan options and I’d highly recommend the spicy chicken sandwich (this was something my S/O ordered); I would definitely go back again!!! Gotta try the desserts next time I visit c:

OMG - Edit
Came here, took their recommendation becaue that’s always the smart thing. Hit the barbecue sandwich and the mushroom poboy for the road and a couple sides. Had to get the mac because everyone’s different. Got the dirty rice and greens because that’s so different. When I tell you that it was A Mazing….. it started raining a little, and they brought it to my car in the rain…super nice. be sure to stop by if you can.

Pass if you can - Edit
This was our first stop in Houston to get something to eat and the guy working the front was super rude. He said it would take 20 minutes to make our food and there was nobody there so we were really confused. The food was aight but they were out of half of their menu and it wasn’t updated on the truck. The location feels sus. He recommended the mushroom Poboi and I couldn’t even choke it down. Bread was stale and insides were oozing and tasted nasty. Planet burger and mac was ok but the worker inside really ruined this for us.

Cons: The guy working in there was super rude, Mushroom po boy was recommended and gross

We’re sorry for experience. I can’t recall us ever having a front, we were always a food truck. But in any case, We are revamping and re-opening.

Tasty planet vegan - Edit
Delicious, tasty, well seasoned, reasonably priced vegan comfort food. Convenient location in small food truck park in near midtown Houston, grassy lot next to a gas station with free parking. Sandwich combos with sides, desserts, smoothies. Menu varies depending somewhat on market availability since food is freshly prepared & tries to use local, seasonable produce. Recommend the buffalo cauliflower, nicely sauced, creamy grilled Mac & cheese, mixed greens, BarBQ jackfruit sandwich.
