Delicious - Edit
Had trouble finding at first. Didn’t realize that it was a food truck, but the food was very good. My partner and I shared a plate of greens, cauli bites, a Boudin ball, and mac and cheese. The only thing that I didn’t love was the collared greens, but my partner ate that so all was eaten.

Not open?? - Edit
We arrived within business hours (1:25 pm on Monday) and the sign on the door read “Open” alongside a hand written note saying “please use other door”. We tried the door under the awning on the opposite side and it was locked. A man came out (obviously high as a kite) and said it was Not Lindiana’s. Is this establishment still in business???

Tasty but way overpriced - Edit
It’s ok. Was really excited by the reviews but was underwhelmed by the experience. Ordered the cheesesteak, the Tex burger and tacos with 3 juices and the bill was close to 80$. The sandwiches and burgers do not come with sides so that’s an expensive addition. Tacos were comically small.

Vegan comfort food - Edit
Delicious healthy, creative vegan dining in Houston's historic 3rd ward, now a food truck. Very convenient location, on Almeda, across from Peggy Park. Friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming personnel. Highly recommend boudin balls, creole seasoned rice balls, lightly breaded & fried. Well seasoned jackfruit crab cakes, reminiscent of Chesapeake Bay. More creole seasoning spices up lightly breaded cauliflower nuggets. Very creamy mac & cheese. Good collards; add a bit of tabasco sauce to bring them around. Basic fries; from frozen. Menu more limited now that they are food truck, so mimosas no more... Still a few desserts, but these sell out quickly. Order & pick up at window. Limited parking.

❤ Lindiana's - Edit
Wow! I never thought I would love vegan food. Lindiana's Southern Vegan Kitchen is amazing! The menu is creative. The fish is banana blossom and the wings are jackfruit. Their healthy food options provided nutrients to defeat illness. I have never felt better. God bless you!

The place for crispy comfort food! - Edit
The boudin balls are gigantic, and you get three of them!! They are amaze-balls!! Inside is seasoned rice with beef crumbles, outside is crispy chicken-fried style batter. Their fried chicken fingers are also amazing!! The batter is the best I’ve had, even better than KFC or any other fried chicken place. Inside is Gardein-like chicken strip. If you like fried chicken, if you like comfort food, this is the place. The long wait is worth it. They close on Monday.

I’ve followed them on ig for months but finally got to try them today and WOW...I was really impressed! I called ahead to order and it was ready for me when I arrived. They showed me everything inside before I paid, which I appreciate a lot.
Read moreI had the special - Chikin Sandwich with waffle fries ($15) and a side of the Mac & Cheese.
The sandwich was incredible. Very realistic chicken-like texture and the breading was very nice and crispy and had a bit of a kick to it! It also had a pretty great aioli type sauce on it, which finished it off well. The fries were pretty good too, nothing crazy but good nonetheless. The Mac & Cheese was really yummy! Super cheesy and also had a little kick to it which was awesome. Overall I’d say it was 10/10 and I highly recommend.
Pros: Flavor!! (Great for non vegans), Customer service, Portion sizes
Cons: A little pricey, Location (wish it was closer to galleria)

address is incorrect, call first - Edit
i had just arrived in town and super hungry took an uber to the address on file only to find out they are a food truck now. i called and they were friendly enough to recommend green seed which is near by their old address and a good place to eat. i finally did visit later that evening, they open at 5pm. they gave me a discount for the inconvenience, which i appreciated. the food is southern and delicious. even after the location mishap it was worth it and i will return. i ordered the chicken platter and fries the wings were made from jackfruit. my friend got the fish tacos with rice and beans and we got vegan beignets nawlins style for dessert. everything was great! the two guys running the truck that night were friendly and cool. they played good music and its games out front the truck while you wait. only con is that the truck has a set menu/ specials for each night and i really wanted vegan mac n cheese.

Service here was great. The food was amazing. My favorite was the boudain balls. I’ve never had anything like them. Mac and cheese was delicious! Super impressed by the food here. Highly recommended if you’re around Houston! One thing to note is that when we came here it did look closed from the outside but it was open. You just have to walk up the stairs to get to the seating😄

Non-existent service - Edit
This is less a review than a warning as I never got my food. Spent an hour without the return of my waiter, no food, no nothing. One table of the 4 around me got food the entire time I was there and all of the other tables were there before me. I have no idea if there was something going on, it wasn’t very crowded. Really bummed because the menu seems great but it was just unreal how poor the service was.

Great Vegan Soul Food in the 3rd Ward - Edit
I loved the food. I had Collards, RB & rice, cornbread and meatloaf. All the food was tasty but it was a bit on the salty side. The sides were right sized but the entree was a bit small. Servers polite and pleasant, although I arrived on what was probably the tail end of the Sunday lunch rush. I saw some other diners sandwiches and was envious. I like iced tea and the peach flavor was good but all was sweetened. Instead of having “bottomless” iced tea in tiny disposable cups I would hope they could use larger washable glasses. I felt like I was harassing my server for refills when they were already slammed. Luckily not even a typical hot Houston day. The vibe was good and relaxed. It looked like some musicians were on the way in as I was on the way out so bad timing on my part. This is the third vegan restaurant in the historically black neighborhoods just South or Southeast of downtown I have been to recently and I am thrilled that they are in business. When I am in central Houston I definitely plan on returning to Lindiana. More and more I am realizing the importance of supporting the local all vegan restaurants instead of “making do” at large national chains that just happen to have a vegan option.
