A gem - Edit
Great spot to stop in for a brew and some food. All vegan, friendly staff, music is good but not too loud. Nice happy hour. Would like to see the food side of things get a lil more attention. But it is way decent and the beers are great.

You can eat it all - Edit
Had the nachos, hummus, and bbq "pork". All items were delicious. I put that the menu was "bar food" as a positive and negative because bar food is yummy but also would be nice to have a nice vegan restaurant. Although, i am just happy to find a place that has vegan food!

What a find! - Edit
Finally was able to stop in on a drive from WI to IN. Totally worth a long drive for some great brews and amazing food. I had the roasted buffalo cauliflower, not too spicy, homemade ranch was delicious. The Impossible Patty Melt was to die for! I actually felt guilty eating it. Really crispy fries too. Can’t wait to try more food here. I tried and bought the Southy [censored] Slap, great Irish Ale. The vanilla [censored] Slap was delightful! Bought some Blue Collar, solid golden ale and really enjoyed the blueberry Happi Daze.

Beer + vegan food? What a delight! - Edit
I didn't know a place like this could exist, and I'm so happy to support their vision. No pretentious attitude here, just great food, beer and service. It's well worth the drive from Chicago.

One of the best breweries I have a ever been to. Foods amazing and the beer is the best so many flavors. Highly recommend going with the flight you don't get just 4 like other places but you get all 10!!! Great way to really appreciate all the choices they have. The food they offer is typical bar food done 100 times better great flavor and portion sizes are big. And the prices are low. The restaurant has great atmosphere plenty of seating for a lot of people. The staff they have is very knowledgeable and friendly. There bar manager Dustin is great very warm and inviting great customer service. Would recommend anyone vegan or not to go even if you have to drive some distance hands down worth it!!!

Great Food, great beer - Edit
What a find. We went to PMBC yesterday and were blown away. The place was packed. We had a hard time chosing from the all-vegan menu, but decided to go with the brussel sprouts, onion rings, "porky" bbq sandwich and korean tacos. All were great, and the tacos definitely had a kick. The beer was great also. You can get a flight of all brews on tap, 10 in all, for $15! Even if you don't like them all (I liked 8 of 10), it's still a great deal. My favorite was the Southy [censored] Slap, it's their signature IPA, but not too hoppy. Plus, our server was amazing. A big shout out to Julianna for excellent service and taking the time to give us some details on the restaurant and the brews! All in all, a great experience, can't wait to go back.

Great food, lots of options! We ordered the massive soft pretzel (it really is huge), bbq porky bowl, chickn sandwich, corn dogs, and margherita flatbread. It did not disappoint!

One Of My Favorite Vegan Joints - Anywhere - Edit
I live near Seattle and have also frequented Portland, OR - two vegan meccas. I don’t know that I have been to a place better than Pig Minds! Loved the service and the food was amazing! All vegan menu and extremely friendly service. I was in Rockford for about 20 hours and had two meals there, because the first one was THAT good. The atmosphere was cool as well. All together, a great place to have a delicious vegan meal! If you’re in the NW suburbs of Chicago....trust me! It’s NOT too far away to make the trip!

Vegan Pub Food. What’s Not to Like? - Edit
This restaurant is not close to where I live, but I willingly make the extra drive just to eat here a few times a year. The sweet potato fries, reuben, and brownie are my top three favorites, but all of the food is great. Meat eating family members also fell in love with the menu. I haven’t had the beer, but I hear that it’s also good

SPEECHLESS - Edit
This place is INCREDIBLE. Bjorn was the best server I’ve ever had, the food was DELICIOUS and extremely filling, and the prices were VERY fair! The Mac and cheeze, loaded nachos, and tom’s Italian sandwich were all 10/10!!! The decor is amazing and the couch outside is very comfortable to eat your meal at!

Fantastic and a lot of choices - Edit
I was so glad to find such a fantastic place near my city! We ordered a chickin' sandwich and a delicious burger, it was really tasty. My kids had chickin' strips and they liked them. The only thing we didn't like was hummus. It was not very tasty and so cold that the flavor was missing. What a pity, we have plenty of pita bread pieces and veggies to dip.
Read moreThe craft beer was delicious as well and we were offered 4 options to choose before ordering.

Some of the best vegan food I've had - Edit
This place blew my mind! I feel so loyal to some Chicago vegan restaurants, but I have to say this place serves up some of the best vegan food in the Chicago area. I had the chick*n sandwich, which was amazing. Also tried the cauliflower tempura, pulled pork, and garlic fries, all of which were delicious. Didn't like the mac 'n' cheez very much. This restaurant is a true gem, and I'm already planning a trip back to try it again. I like that people may not even know it's vegan till they go to order, which seems like a cool way to turn folks on to vegan food, especially given the appeal of the brewery to lure them in!

5/5 for service
Read more5/5 for beer
Food was either 1/5 or 5/5, with very little in between. Our table ordered a ton of different food so I feel like we got a good handle on the menu.
All the fries came out seemingly burnt, not sure if they were supposed to taste the way they did, but the wingz appetizer was amazing.
Would def eat here again but know better what to order next time.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC - Edit
Seriously, you have to try this place! I live over an hour away, and this food made the drive so worth it! The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was laid back and super down to Earth. And the food! I'm still dreaming about how deliciously layered each dish was. Honestly, I'm going to keep coming back here until I try every single thing on the menu.

LOVE this place! - Edit
I LOVE this restaurant - they have a wide variety of plant based food. It's great that I don't have to say "hold the meat and dairy" - I can actually choose from the entire menu and many items are great imitations of cheese and meat flavors for those still desiring that. Service is always VERY friendly.

AMAZING!!! - Edit
Since I'm a vegan, I am of course always extremely enthusiastic when it comes to trying new vegan restaurants. However, my omnivorous dad and brother were much more skeptical since they haven't been exposed to vegan restaurants before. We got our table and admired the cool industrial atmosphere and stainless steel beer vats. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer, and for lunch I got the T.L.T. With mac and cheese, my dad got the burger, and my brother got the chicken fried steak. Everyone LOVED their meals!! We liked it so much we had to order both of their desserts: the brownie and carrot cake. Both were SO GOOD. Highly recommend this place. Generous portions and everyone, vegan or non, will love the food!

I'm so lucky to live close to Pig Minds! I love this place! It is a wonderful place to go for great vegan food (and beer too). It's a perfect place to stop for any traveling vegetarians (and non vegetarians) since it isn't far from the interstate.
