I am so lucky to live in Rockford and have this vegan oasis nearby, but I promise you I would drive MUCH further. If you are anywhere in the nearby area, you need to make the trip. Everything is vegan. You literally can’t go wrong with the options. Need some comfort food? The buffalo mac and cheese is one of my faves. Want something lighter? Perhaps opt for one of the wraps- the Caesar wrap is my fave. And the beer? Death Grip is one of my all time favorite beers…anywhere. Need delivery? Check out Grub Hub. Can’t recommend enough.

Stopped here on our way to WI on a trip. We loved the options we had to select from that were vegan and the environment. If this place was closer for us it would be a regular stop. One of the best Vegan joints we have ate at and will stop by when we are in their neighborhood to enjoy their offerings!

I have driven here from Milwaukee area to eat more than once. That's how good it is. And it's worth it. I'll do it again. The food is great and their specials always sound delicious. There is a nice patio and also plenty of indoor seating. Plus there's the beer... A whole flight of all 10 5oz pours for only $15!! I love that I don't have to worry about anything weird in the beer here, and there's a variety of styles. You can also get 4pks of cans to go. If you do happen to be crazy and drive here from far away, check Rock Cut state park for cheap camping for a night or two.

This was on our bucket list on our way to Chicago and it did not disappoint!! Great beer - the "Happi Daze" blonde ale was served with fresh blueberries. Food portions are robust and everything is very flavorful and really well done. Great patio space and spacious tap room. Great specials and happy hour tap prices.

We were so tired from traveling and almost didn’t go just a little out of our way to eat here. Best decision in a week to stop at Pig Minds. Everything was superb and just the refreshment we needed. The service, vibe, beer, and food. Five stars all around, though the Caesar salad is especially worth mentioning. We ordered enough for lunch the next day and were so glad we did.

They have some healthier options but I'm always too tempted by the appetizers! The brussel sprouts are amazing - they should bottle the spicy sweet sauce! Tried their pizza for the first time.. The crust is as close to perfect as a crust can get - it's sturdy/firm to not flop or bend down so all the toppings stay in place; it's soft and chewy so it doesn't break when you bite into it and there wasn't one bit of charred/burnt pieces which so often happens in wood fired ovens. Tried their new fried shrimp too - very generous portion. At first bite, the texture was reminiscent of fried chicken but it did have a shrimpy taste. Will definitely order again! My husband can't get enough of the zoodle bowl because he loves peanut sauce so much.

Pig Minds does something that is so impressive and remarkable. They were able to build a massive customer base with vegans and non vegans alike, in the middle of nowhere, IL. I find that it speaks volumes that their beers and food are so delicious that they can have those who typically wouldn’t be found at a vegan restaurant returning again and again. Do not miss this place! Incredible menu, I seriously want to try every single thing in it. The pizza was mind blowing; the jalapeño poppers will burn your mouth off because they take forever to cool down but my god it’s worth it; and do NOT skip the fried pickles! And the beer choices are fantastic, in addition to being super cheap for a flight. I live nowhere near this brewery, but will definitely be making the trip out again soon!
