Vegan scones - Edit
The scones are accidentally vegan and are very good. I found them last year on holiday and returned this year for more. They are big scones and they do a plain and fruit scone option

I had the vegetable pasty, the only vegan pasty, and it was so so bland. Tasted like boiled vegetables with no flavour.

The pasty’s are not very nice, imo. HOWEVER… their scones are accidentally vegan. The staff are helpful. Also do vegan apple turnovers.

Fun to be able to do the local tourist thing to do and have some proper Cornish pasties😄Went for vegan cheese & onion which was proper flakey, fatty and oozing with cheese, and we also had a fruit scone.

Not sure why the reviews are so good! Yes the pasty was massive. But it was just peppered veg inside with no gravy, sauce or spices! It was very, very bland😒I’d give one of the other places a go if I went to st Ives again

I taste tested several vegan pasties in St Ives and this was my favourite – packed with lots of potato, carrot, sweetcorn, peas and broad beans. I also sampled the scones and eccles cakes, both were good, and they had other sweet options as well.

Really tasty, massive veg pasty and a lot of food for the price. It's short crust which might not be for everyone but I enjoyed it. Also the fruit scones are as good as any I ate before going vegan.

Such a fab place to get a quick lunch, had the vegetable pasty, eccles cake and apple turnover. There is a list of pastys by the till and it states the vegetable one is vegan, we asked about the cakes and the guy there was so clued up and very friendly and told us what we could have, he even told us how they make them 'so you can be reassured'. Very filling and totally delish, also very cheap, loved it!

Probably the only place in Cornwall that offers vegan pasties. On the menu they state one vegetarian option that is also vegan, since they don't use butter for the crust not brush it with egg on top (that's why it doesn't look gold as the others)

Read moreWe loved the vegetable pasties (vegan) the scones (vegan) the eccles cake (vegan) the strawberry jam (vegan) we did not try the vegan flapjack. Super friendly and well informed staff helped us with our vegan needs.

Pengenna Pasties is easy to find in St Ives and is just a short stroll from the sea, so you can eat in the open air. The vegan pasty is marked on the menu, and the staff are well-informed about which other dishes are vegan (the scones and flapjacks). The vegetable pasty was big and filling, with lots of onion, potato, carrot, sweetcorn and beans. It was good and warming!
