Pani Baklazani

Great vegan restaurant next to a train station. Daily menu with soup. The only thing I hate is open only on weekdays.

Good

I use to order something from their lunch menu sometimes. I like that eco packaging. Food is very good. But for 7€ i would expect maybe bigger portions. They are enough if you are dieting though.

Hidden but worth visiting

I wanted to visit this bistro for a long long time, since they opened but because of the location I never managed to get there. But my time has finally come and I went there for a lunch menu. The bistro impressed me right on the first sight with its looks, as it is new and spacious. I noticed a little corner, where they have shop with local healthy products and pastry (for example: sourdough bread + some products are gluten free as well). The range of products is quite wide and the prices are reasonable, for example I noticed that the peanut butter (priorities :D) is cheaper than you can buy in any shopping centre in the city.

For my lunch I got paella and hot and sour soup (is it like this in english? :D) Both of the dishes were delicious (but paella a little bit more), but I cannot forget to mention crispy and oily tempeh on the top of the paella. It was my first time trying tempeh (I am a student, so when shopping I always grab tofu instead :D) and I think any meat eater would believe me if I gave it to them and said it is bacon😄

The staff is very friendly and helpful, from the looks and the taste of food you immediately realize they do this job with love and that they are trying to bring innovative ideas regarding food to our Nitra city. :)

In conclusion I will surely be back soon for another lunch menu which they have for 4,50 during their happy hour! (Or maybe I will buy half kg of dates and local nuttery milk there after salary :D)

Amazing vegan restaurant!

This place is great. At lunchtime, you can get a combo with a soup and main dish for €5,90. There are always two different options for mains and they vary everyday. The food is so tasty and totally worth it for the price! They also have a shop with vegan products, plus you can also order your food as takeaway. Many dessert options available. Would definitely recommend!

Pros: Cozy atmosphere

Cons: Soup and main dishes are prepared in advance, so they get a bit cold (still great though!)
