A second (and smaller) location opened in June 2018 in midtown Kingston. An antique cafe serving espresso drinks, some grab-n-go options, local vegan chocolate candies, a fruit salad cup, granola, oatmeal, and made-in-house nut milk for coffee and coffee drinks. Some use of local vegan cheese. Raw options. Emphasis on use of local ingredients. Jan 2020 reported not fully vegan. Reported closed January 2023.

Compact, sharp, and neat new vegetarian Outdated!

A smaller, Midtown version of Outdated's café on Wall St. in the Uptown part of the city. It features many vegan items, including always-available nut or seed milk for coffee drinks. Salads and sandwiches from the menu of the original Outdated are available in grab-and-go packages, along with many Outdated baked goods. Another available vegan item is the Oatmeal cup, though it may help to say you need the cereal made with vegan milk or water. The restaurant favors local ingredients. The interior of the new cafe; is smart and chic, as one fans of Outdated: An Antique Cafe; would expect. Retro and antique items decorate the place and are in most cases available for sale. Like the original Outdated, Outdated Lite is 100 percent vegetarian and the personnel are aware of vegan concerns. While most food items are in packages, drinks are made to order by a real barista. As of January 2020, Outdated Lite had returned to being lacto-ovo-vegetarian after a vegan experiment at this location that began in 2019. It helps to ask about vegan items.

Now 100% vegan!

I'm THRILLED that Outdated Lite is vegan and intend to double down on going there so they keep it up. It's really adorable/attractive--a great place to spend time. The menu is a bit small--just one or two sandwiches, one soup, one salad--so i hope they develop that a bit. I know they have room constraints and that all food has to be brought over from the other location, but even so, a bit more variety would bring more people, I'm sure. The baked goods are also limited, but SO DELICIOUS. We had the sugar cookie and the chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting, and both were outstanding.

I'm also hoping they will extend their hours as they get more popular. Being open on the weekends would be a big help for 9-to-5'ers.

Pros: Food is delicious , Atmo is fabulous, 100% vegan!!

Cons: Small menu, Limited hours
