Tofu brochetas are amazing! - Edit
Tofu brocheta was great, the quesadilla with 3 salsas was also good. They brought us a tuna ceviche by mistake but corrected it and didn't charge us for it. The mushroom ceviche was not that great.

Ich hatte das Pilz-Cheviche die Quesadillas. Besonders das Cheviche war hübsch angerichtet. Hier isst das Auge mit - das muss man allerdings auch teuer bezahlen. Das Essen war ok, für meinen Geschmack etwas überwürzt. Vielleicht habe ich es deshalb nicht vertragen. Die Quesadillas konnte ich nicht aufessen, weil mein Magen rebelliert hat.

Whoever is tired of burritos, rice and tacos only can find a great selection at this place. It was very hard to choose with so many options. Also, the drinks were something extraordinary. The food was nice, but for one of us, it was mainly salad and costed 8.400 colones, which is super pricy for what we got. Overall, this place is definitely on the higher price scale. The staff was very friendly.

We were so happy to find a restaurant in La Fortuna with a large vegan menu that used a lot of fresh, organic veggies. We had the nachos, quesadilla, and a bowl (can’t remember the name). The food was all very tasty and healthy. The portions were also very large. Fair warning, the prices are very high - felt like I was back in New York. It also took a while for us to get our food but things move slower in Costa Rica. Just don’t go if you’re ravenously hungry 😬 nice to have more vegan options in the area, just wish they would ditch the animals products and become 100% vegan!

Read moreThey have organic/vegan products in the store that belongs to the restaurant and a little area with clothes made from natural materials / local brands.
We payed 90 USD for water, a smoothie, 2 small starters and two main dishes.
The quality was OK, but even for Costa Rica we found it heavily over priced.
I did have an upset stomach after.
Will not go again.

Great organic, vegan food and drink options. Have a good vegan dessert menu too, but we were too full to try one! Friendly staff and chilled vibe. Lovely little gift and health food shop inside too. Highly recommended whilst visiting La Fortuna!

We stayed in La Fortuna for 3 nights and ate here two of them. The first night and the third night. They have an extensive menu for vegans. Everything I had was delicious!

Fantastic find in La Fortuna, went twice! Has a whole page of plant based dishes to choose from. Had the nachos and the teriyaki tofu skewers, both were delicious. Only downside was the cocktails were not the best, so I'd recommend avoiding these.

Over the years Origanico Fortuna just gets better. More seating than ever and a full two section clearly marked vegan menu with both American style, Tico and other healthy dishes to try. Pricing is slightly more than other places.

This restaurant has a great vegan menu with amazing salads and a nachos loaded with salad ingredients! Loved it all. We enjoyed their icecream and other desserts. They are open from 9 offering breakfast and a lunch/dinner menu. The atmosphere is bright and airy and every dish was presented in a very pretty manner. Highly recommend it!! We were so happy to find such a delightful vegan restaurant in the middle of Costa Rica!

We had dinner here twice and both times the food was amazing, lovely decorated and the staff was very friendly! Yes it is pricey but this is a touristic area. The variety of smoothies and vegan dishes is great and everyone from our group absolutely enjoyed their meals. I can especially recommend the spicy quesadilla and chocobanano (smoothie)

The food we had was really tasty, came out in good time - but really very expensive (in our opinion) for what we had - 2 mains 2 drinks $63...

But the really sad part is the bad service from the staff - disinterested and rude.
Also we had to wait a long time for requested dessert menu, we then deliberate on which dessert we would like, only to be told that the one we want is not availble and then 5 others that also were not availble... you think they could of told us this up front and save all a waste of time.
Disappointed we chose to pay and leave.
Might return, as the food was very very good... but probably unlikely due to the above issues.
Its important to support more vegan options, but the bad service really drops the ball here, the management need to sort it out asap.

Super Disappointed - Edit
We came in for lunch and wish we would've went to another place. The service was very slow to begin despite there being 3 servers and only 3 other tables. We ordered drinks and an appetizer which took a while but we waited. During this wait time we put in our meal order, too. We got our first stuff and figured it wouldn't be too long until our meals came. We waited almost an hour and nothing. Nobody came by to check on us or anything. Other tables came in after us got their meals and left. We finally got someone's attention and asked where our food was. They were lost. The server went looking and talked to the cooks. She spoke loudly in Spanish and obviously didn't realize we also spoke Spanish (had spoke English the whole time) and she was arguing with the cooks and they didn't make our order and she didn't pay attention to her customer so they both messed up. She came back and told us there was an issue with the vegetables for the tacos, big lie. She said they were making our order now and are very fast. 45 more minutes go by and we get our Quesadilla and Tacos. Literally all we ordered and took almost 2 hours. The whole staff could tell how upset we were and did nothing. The food wasn't even good either. The vegetables that apparently had been a problem were gross and soooooo salty I could barely eat it. If I wasn't so darn hungry I wouldn't have ate them. After 2 hours and being lied to they didn't even offer us a discount or just to take one of our drinks off for the mess. I couldn't believe the horrible experience. Would never ever go back or recommend this to anyone. There are WAY better places in LA Fotuna. Plus, way cheaper!

The owner should engage polite and respectful personal. I entered the place, asked for a menu in spanish with prices in colones. The guy in charge answered : "Only english here". I said that it was a pity. After that, the guy became completely crazy and disrespectful. I have a wonderful experience by traveling in Costa Rica. Ticos are wonderful people. But this veggie restaurant probably owns the only exception to the wonderful mindset of Pura Vida. #Veganuary

GF Banana Pancakes!!! - Edit
We ate here almost every day we were in La Fortuna! I loved the banana pancakes (vegan & gluten free & yummy!) and the chocobanano smoothie. My hubby really enjoyed the tico burrito. We didn't explore all the options on the menu because we loved our pancakes and burrito so much.
