Don’t waste your time searching for those other meals - Edit
Yes, you will have some long lines and experience the loneliness of a Long Distance Runner if you catch Onion Maiden at VegFest but it’s worth every second in the Sun (and Steel) waiting for the food. Most recently I had a corn dog and Moon Presence (not Moonchild). Both are outstanding. Chick Habit sandwiches and all their dogs are fantastic. I still have Infinite Dreams about a beet burger from around 4 years ago.
Read moreAlso, even with nonstop customers the staff is still friendly and treat you like Blood Brothers.
Okay enough Iron Maiden puns, this place kicks ass and you should eat here every chance you get.

Pros: High quality food, Excellent people , Exquisite music taste

Delicious vegan food with an Asian twist - Edit
Got to try them at Pittsburgh Vegfest, and was not disappointed! My favorite item was the moon presence - a twist on an Asian street food that was so light and flavorful. The hot drop with cashew cheese and lentil chili was also amazing

Excellent - Edit
The atmosphere is really cool and the food is delicious. We got hot dogs, cookies, and nachos. I highly recommend them! It says they’re closed, but I haven’t been back in months. They’ve been at vegan fest though!

Amazing Vegan Food! - Edit
Great food that tastes delicious and is very unique (but in a way that works). Love the vegan cheese, especially with the tater tots. Vegan hot dogs are also really good and have extra fun names.
Read moreI’m mainly sad that they’re closing! Sounds like the reasoning is the owners are burnt out, which is understandable, but I will definitely miss getting Onion Maiden every time we’re in town.

Awesome! - Edit
Super cool environment, decor, and music. Oh, and amazing food! I’ve literally never tasted anything like their ginger pesto. I would say the menu definitely has something for everyone. Just make sure to reserve a table if you plan on dining in, as the wait can be a little crazy.

It sounds basic, but their “Aqua Poutine Hunger Force” tots kill - Edit
I liked everything about this meal, but their Aqua Poutine Hunger Force” tots were some real solid comfort food. Specifically, the cashew cheese curds added so much to it. They do a cheese board that I was sad they were sold out of, but if the cheese in that poutine is any indicator I’d say it’s worth getting. Also, their rice milk horchatas are FANTASTIC. Their atmosphere is also really cool, and it sounds dorky but I got a big kick out of their shirts based on classic metal album covers and plan to buy one next time I’m in town (budget was a little tapped by this point).

Poutine dreams - Edit
The poutine tater tots are the stuff of dreams. Apparently gravy makes poutine, and this gravy is perfection.
Read moreThe baked (as opposed to raw, which I've not tried) strawberry-topped cheesecake was another highlight. Oddly, I was really into the back of the crust. The cheesecake part was excellent, but somehow even the crust was something to write home about.
The lentil chili hot dog was tasty.
Someday maybe I'll try the healthier-looking items, but I'm more tempted by the back of the menu.
Pros: Flavor, Cute
Cons: Music could be quieter, Location

May Have To Move To Piitsburgh - Edit
Honestly, I would move just to be able to eat here more than once in a blue moon; it was that good. Alas, I will try to make sure work trips and vacations will take me through Pittsburgh/Allentown so I can try everything on the menu. Was so hard to pick, (Balls to the Walls and a raspberry cheezcake that ate for breakfast the next day.). Truly very, extremely good. Got a Kale ‘em All tee I wear constantly (cut the sleeves out so it looks tough 🤪)

Favorite vegan place - Edit
I love this place. It’s been a go to for a long time. We would get take out from here a few times a month until recently. I wish they would allow for ordering specials online again. It made take out so much easier. We don’t get food here nearly as often now.

Delicious as usual - Edit
Took my parents to onion maiden for their first time there. They loved it. We had spring rolls, tater tots, the curry soup, and the special which was a banana blossom sandwich. Was all delicious. And we got one of the extra large egg rolls as a bonus. Oh and had a peanut butter brownie. Onion maiden never fails to deliver.
