Such a spacious cafe!

I found this place through naver so I unfortunately didn’t see the reviews about cows milk however I’m severely lactose intolerant so something tells me that my mugwort latte was not cows milk even though I did not change the milk 😮
Customer service was great. The worker was incredibly kind and helpful. I ordered the chocolate earl grey cake the mugwort loaf thing and mugwort latte.

Dont charge for plant milk at a 'vegan' bakery

OmuOmu has 5-7 vegan baked goods available, a cake or two, 2-3 scones. We had a perilla leaf scone which was alright

The cafe uses cows milk by default, and that's not clearly labelled on the menu. They do have 3 options for plants milks, which they charge an additional 500 won for. This isn't exactly transparent on their menu. We found out after asking why there was a 'vegan latte' menu item.
The drinks were very bad. The price is around 5500 for a coffee or tea, and I would guess the size is around 200ml.

One person's latte the soy milk separated from the coffee.
I ordered the mugwort (쑥) latte with soy milk. The powder wasn't properly mixed in and ended up with big chunks in the drink.

The interior is pretty nice and open. Quite a few tables and large windows. Maybe okay space for working but

Decent

Decent baked goods. But using cow's milk for drinks is really disappointing.

Pros: Tasty desserts

cows milk default “vegan” cafe

nowhere does it say that cow’s milk is the default but we at least thought to ask.

an up-charge of 500 won for alternative milks in a “vegan” cafe is seriously outrageous in my opinion..

the drink i got was small and overpriced and the soy milk was curdled in it.. not too appetizing but the coffee was good and strong. my friend’s drink was not mixed properly and had chunks in it too

the scone was good. i’m not sure i would go back to try the cakes or other things.

Not a vegan cafe

They have the word vegan plastered everywhere, but they charge extra for plant based milk while cow milk is the standard. It's totally fine if you want to serve cow milk, you just can't call yourself a vegan cafe.

We had a dry scone and some okay coffee. nice space though.

Cons: Not a vegan cafe

Delicious cakes and cookies

I love the nice, modern, clean atmosphere of this cafe. They have variety of yummy baking goods. Their music is bit to loud, so not the best place to study. But still, the owner is pretty nice and uses healthy ingredients. You can also order whole cakes.

Clean & bright dessert cafe

All food items here are vegan, and the current menu includes cakes, scones and baked rice cakes. For drinks, there's a choice of dairy, soy, almond and oat milk (500 KRW surcharge for plant milks).

They say that they refrain from using white flour, refined sugar, artificial colors and preservatives. Instead, they use natural and non-GMO ingredients, e.g. unrefined sugar, whole-grain flour and Korean rice flour. The description sounds healthy, but the taste of bakery items is nontheless sweet and like proper dessert!

There are some curious items with typical Korean flavorings, such as sweet pumpkin cake and scones with perilla leaves (깻잎). Also their scones are different from other places: They are flat and look like giant cookies!

Prices range between 3000 KRW for scones and up to 8000 KRW for cake. The scones are large, whereas a piece of cake is rather small.

The cafe is located in an area with many other cafes and a park. The interior is simple and bright. Since the store front is a large window, it can get a little cold in the winter. They bake everything on location in the morning and open the cafe at noon.

Overall, I enjoyed their unconventional, home-made desserts and the clean and bright atmosphere. #Veganuary

Pros: taste good for home-baking style, good ingredients , nice atmosphere and location

Cons: some things are a bit pricey

Nice vegan bakery/cafe nice area

This is a great area to meet. Across from park. Cafe has good seating. Baked goods are interesting and done well. Had a tea because already had too many coffees. One of few places that knows how to make hot milk tea. Choice of oat, soy or almond milk 😊
