So cute! - Edit
I had a great time at this cute allergy sensitive cafe! The sweet potato latte was not too sweet and very refreshing. However, the matcha muffin was definitely subpar... it had that distinct aftertaste of being made with substituted ingredients which I've not had a problem with from other bakeries or cafes.

A healthy dessert option - Edit
Not my favorite kind of dessert option, but if you're into a healthier take on dessert, it's a pretty good option!

Allergy free bakery - Edit
I visited this place on Tuesday and there weren't many items available. The owner told me that the bulk of the store business come from online order (you can order by filling out the order form on its website) so it doesn't have many items on weekdays. On the weekend, since she doesn't have to fulfill orders, she has more items for sale in the store.
Read moreItems in the order form can be requested via telephone and picked up the next day or 2 days later (for example, special birthday cake, bread, etc.). More pictures on instagram @alfreebe_cafe
I had eaten the Ganache cake, brownie, and a scone. All were tasty and not very sweet. The ganache cake had coconut cream as icing. If I were to live next door to this bakery, I'd probably get my desert here almost daily. :-D

Timing is key - Edit
This cafe is located in close vicinity of a large hospital and aims to serve allergen-free products. In accordance with this goal, bakery items are 100% vegan, gluten-free, nut-free as well as free from refined sugar.
Read moreFresh bakery products are delivered between 1 and 2 pm - something I learned after being too early a couple of times and purchasing bakery which was left from previous days and also tasted like that... When fresh, however, the taste is fairly good overall, like home-made! Neither too sweet nor bland. Scones and muffins are soft and have a slightly moist center - surprisingly fluffy for being gluten-free and based on rice flour! [What I am missing, though, is a stronger scent and aroma of flavoring ingredients e.g. mugwort or black sesame.]
Upon request, they re-heat bakery items in a small oven (no microwave! Yay!), so you can enjoy a warm, sweet snack along with a beverage.
Regarding beverages, they use dairy as well as soy milk - clearly state soy milk ("duyu" 두유) for vegan options. Actually, what I personally like best here are their vegan pumpkin latte and vegan sweet potato latte: Both are made from organic vegetables and contain so much of it, that the drink is thick and creamy!!! ^_^
Regarding the location itself, it is spacious and bright, thanks to several plants and large windows. Seating is available indoors and outdoors - necessary, as it seems to be popular in the neighborhood. Consequently, it can get a little noisy in the afternoon.

Allergy Free Heaven - Edit
A bakery where all the goods are made with mother's love and a heaven for people who cannot eat gluten. Everything was incredibly delicious (chocolate and fig muffin, coconut cookie, chocolate and matcha brownie).
Read moreIt is easy to find. During warm days it is possible to sit outside on a very cosy terrace, the owner is very kindhearted and also treated us with additional service.
I am definitely coming back soon for more.
Pros: Gluten free, Amazing staff, they speak English too!, Spacious
Cons: Modest offer (but worth it, absolutely delicious!)
