Best vegan food in Belgium! - Edit
Súper good traditional Belgian food in a very cozy atmosphere in the centre of Gent! Besides the traditional food, there’s also vegan loaded fries, vegan hot dogs and vegan desserts. 🤤

Vegan junk - Edit
For only £3.50 you can get the largest portion of chips you could imagine! The rest felt a little overpriced. The cheesy croquettes were ok, but the waffles were great!

Nice but expensive - Edit
The place is an old house, very cozy.
Read moreThe waiter was super nice and friendly, and of course correct.
The food was tasty, but very expensive for the quantity. Fries were the frozen, very bad ones, oily and empty. The sausage was great! I liked the flavour of the dessert and texture, but it wasn't worth it because it was super tiny...and again expensive.
Will I get back? Sincerelly, not.

Overpiced fast food - Edit
A nice interior, but quite cold inside. The menu is basically overpriced fast food. The vol au vent was a depressingly thick sauce without any actual mushrooms and only one type of 'meat' (there ought to be both 'chicken' and 'meat balls'). The salad was simply sad, didn't even have dressing. Great that it is fully vegan, but don't take a date here if you want to impress them.

My favourite food in Belgium! - Edit
I absolutely loved this restaurant and hope to go back one day! They offer lots of vegan versions of traditional Belgium meals which is a great way to feel like you’re not missing out. I went for the loaded fries - with Belgian stew & onions. I can’t put into words how good this was!! Highly recommend 😄

Nice fries but bad salad - Edit
I really wanted to love this restaurant, but I think I might’ve chosen the wrong menu items. I chose the truffle croquettes which were just ok, the cheese fries were tasty, and the pumpkin salad which was bad imo. There was no sauce (takeaway order) so it was dry and no bread as advertised on the menu. It was also just weirdly bitter and I did not enjoy it. I ended up paying more than 30 euros. I would have to try other things on the menu.

The food was delicious! The tenders were the highlight, recommended by our friendly waiter, who guided us through the menu. You can place orders directly through the waiter or use the convenient QR code option, which is especially handy during busy times.

Great food - Edit
Overall I had a good experience here. Upon entering we were greeted very warmly. Ordering and paying is generally done via QR code, but I saw other people ordering directly with the waiter. The food came out on time but then again, we came in very early when there were practically no other people. Although the food is really tasty, I find the price just a bit too high for what you get.

Jammer... - Edit
Pros: Volledig vegan , Leuk interieur , Stoofvlees is lekker

Tasty though a bit disappointing - Edit
We were there for lunch. Having to order with a QR code and pay right away is a bit of a shame because it limits interactions with the staff.
Read moreWe tried two dishes: the loaded fries with truffle and crispy fake chicken pieces as well as the hot dog.
The hot dog was very good but a bit expensive for the price, knowing that it does not include any side dishes.
The loaded fries were delicious and the portion was quite large. The sauce did not taste like truffle but rather like a cheese and garlic sauce. The crispy chicken pieces were almost non-existent so there were mainly fries... Too bad because that does not make it a real "main course".
We tried the waffle for dessert which was very good, nothing to complain about.
Finally, I would say that it is a rather gourmet restaurant but the value for money is not the best compared to other restaurants in the city.
Pros: The diversity of the menu , The waffles
Cons: A little bit pricey, QR code to make a order

Disappointing - Edit
Food was cold, lacked spices. I am really getting frustrated with the vegan folks giving 5 stars to bad kitchen. How are non vegans supposed to transition when the food is blend? Seriously now folks!!! Please don’t give every vegan restaurant you find 5 stars because for the sake of it.

I ordered a starter and a main dish. The croquettes looked more like bitterballen. Unfortunately, the stew wasn’t served warm and missed seasoning.

Topper in Gent! - Edit
Read moreHun vegan Oh!MA'tje is geweldig!
Lekkere alcoholvrije cocktails, zeer vriendelijke bediening.
Zeer veelbelovend!
April 2024, Oh!Ma is definitief geopend.

Good Belgian fries - Edit
I ordered the Oh!MA'tje fries. I’ve never had this dish before, so I didn’t know what to expect. I found it had too much sauce for me and was a bit salty, but maybe that’s how this dish is in general. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, the service was fast, and the portion was large.

Nice food, modern vibe, some starter hiccups? - Edit
Had been to the popup of Ohma in Bruges a couple of times before (some years ago), and love that they focus on veganising traditional dishes.
Read moreThe place is nicely renovated, and the decor has a modern, chill vibe.
Access to menu is through QR code (I much prefer paper menus), and pay immediately when ordering.
We had
- cheezecroquettes (5) 8,90€
- vol-au-vegan 23,5€
- hotdog 14,90€ and fries 4€ and mayo 2€
Lemonade 5,5€ and tonic 4,8€
Food came swiftly (one can opt to have appetizers, and mains served together, or apart). Very decent portions.
Food was nice, but not warm enough (especially the vol au vent and cheese croquettes). (Noticed the lady at the table next to us also saying her vol au vent wasnt warm enough).
And the lettuce was not fresh (not crispy, flat), that really shouldn't have been served.
Service was overall very friendly. But what is strange is that one is asked to pay when ordering and add a tip then. Bit weird to tip before one has even gotten any food.
Not accessible, steps to get in. Large outdoor seating on pavement.
Toilets upstairs. Clean. But seems sinks/taps hadn't been cleaned in a while (dust and dirt), a pity, because they seemed brand new.
What was a bit annoying was that during lunch, they went back and forth with supplies (through main door to kitchen). Which made it not so relaxed.
Overall: nice lunch, but hope they take this feedback on these points into consideration, and make it even more enjoyable to have lunch here 😉
