DO NOT SUPPORT - Edit
Would give it a 1-star if I could. This place does not deserve your support. For a place that promotes being cruelty free, the comments made by the ownership do NOT support this statement.

Should probably add more context if you’re going to make these claims. I’ve never been but from what little you provided it sounds like you just had a bad experience.

Mind blown - Edit
This sushi place is soooo good. I was in a few times on a recent trip and got to taste several different rolls as well as the ramen.
Read moreEvery roll was fantastic, but I was particularly blown away by the philly roll. The vegan cheese they used was so good. All of the rolls make creative use of veggies and are extremely flavorful.

VEGANS AND NON VEGAN APPROVED - Edit
I cannot say enough good things about this place!! It’s only been open a year, and is by FAR my favorite restaurant to visit for vegan sushi. I’ve brought my Omni boyfriend, and non-vegan friends to this location and all of us are really impressed! I’m not sure what kind of sorcery goes on in that kitchen, but whatever they’re doing is spot on! When you think of vegan sushi, you think of boring cucumber rolls/avocado rolls. This place offers so many intricate vegan sushi rolls, you wouldn’t believe its vegan. The only thing I wish they had were more locations! (Chula Vista, pleaseeee ☺️)

Fantastic sushi! - Edit
Lovey restaurant, we arrived shortly after opening and it was fairly busy, which we took as a good sign. The menu offered so many enticing options! As a vegan I've spent years scanning menus for the only (or sometimes nonexistent) vegan dish. Having a whole menu to choose from is still somewhat overwhelming. The waiting staff were great, and gave us more time to choose. We went for the speciality sushi rolls and chose Barbosa and Zane. The generous portions arrived on the same plate, which was great as we had planned to share. They were both delicious! I slightly preferred the Barbosa. We decided to try the desserts, we chose coffee cake and coconut lime donut... Oh my goodness they were good!

Amazing vegan sushi - Edit
Who says vegans can’t eat sushi!?? We tried a few rolls, all of them really good. The eel roll was delicious. The tuna roll we got actually tasted a little too much like the real thing! Haha😄cute location, but a small place, luckily when we went no one was there.

Best birthday surprise - Edit
Ive been wanting to try now sushi so badly. My boyfriend surprised me on my birthday for dinner. It was just the two of us on a rainy night. It’s a small spot but cozy enough. The food was delicious, the waitress & chef were phenomenal. We were so happy to find a vegan sushi spot that had such beautiful morals. We loved it so much, we came by the next day for more.

I’ve eaten at a few vegan sushi joints around the globe and this one is hands down the best. If you’re a vegan or vegetarian itching for Japanese food, this is your spot.

WOW AMAZING - Edit
Omg, I have had like avocado rolls but not sushi like this since I’ve gone vegan. This was amazing, definitely on the more pricey side but most sushi places are pricey so I understand. Also super convenient I called in to order and then went and picked it up and ready right away.

New favorite restaurant! - Edit
I had the barbosa roll, zane roll, seaweed salad, and garlic edamame. I can finally say I’ve had delicious vegan sushi I’ve been looking for for 4 years! They had a great variety of sushi rolls to choose from, as well as some non-sushi options. Barbosa roll is a must-have. If you’re allergic to seaweed, they also give you the option to swap it with soy paper. The textures, sauces, and presentations of everything I tried were amazing — I can’t wait to go back!

Cute and casual beach restaurant with easy access from the Mission Beach boardwalk. My husband and I ordered three rolls to share, which proved to be more than enough food for two people. Absolutely phenomenal, would visit again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I went here while visiting vegan friends in San Diego who recommended it. My husband isn’t vegan and I am recently converted and we both loved it! We got the seaweed salad and edamame to start and then shared the tuna spice everything nice and the roxy rolls and they were delicious. Perfect amount of food for us.

Sushi is great, experience a little less so - Edit
Simple cafe along Mission Blvd has the atmosphere of a casual lunch spot. The "Rocky" roll was one of the best vegan sushi rolls I've ever eaten. I came back the next day and tried the "no worries" roll and a spicy tuna roll, both of which were pretty good. But there were a couple mistakes with my order this time. Only one other table was present, maybe it was just an off day. I agree with the other reviews that the place is a bit pricey. $8 for a cucumber roll $9 for an avocado roll. I would've liked to try more specialty rolls but at around $13-16 each, I couldn't justify it. If the restaurant had more of an elegant decor and great service I'd say the pricing was justified but for a brightly lit cafe on a busy street with cars zooming by and very casual service, I dunno.

Good but a bit pricey... - Edit
Nice and inventive vegan restaurant. Good overall. The prices are a bit high for a vegan meal. A $5 miso soup and $15 specialty rolls. I wish there was more protein included too. I would recommend for a fun change but it won’t become a regular stop for me.

All specialty rolls! 🙌 - Edit
This place just opened two weeks ago so they are still in their “soft opening” - 8 speciality rolls to choose from, we tried 6 of them. All amazing! Even the tempura ones are lightly breaded so we highly recommend all the rolls. They were busy on a Sunday night which was great to see but a little slow with service - just be patient bc they just opened. Their menu is going to expand in a few weeks too! We will be back for sure!
