Delicious and so cool - Edit
This is the cutest vegan restaurant! The aesthetic is unique and cool, I want to live there. Their deserts are ridiculously large, spectacular and delicious. The non dessert serving sizes are a bit small for the price you pay, but they are really yummy. Really fun and yummy drinks too.

Always Happy - Edit
We have eaten at the North Star on many occasions and have always been happy with our meals. How wonderful to have a totally vegan option in North Bay! Despite what seems to be a small menu, there is always a new soup to try, delicious deserts and the Saturday brunch menu versus the weekday lunch menu adds variety. The staff are lovely and the vibe welcoming.

The best place in North Bay. - Edit
North Star diner is absolutely incredible. It’s nondescript and tucked in behind a large pizza restaurant. But once you get inside, the atmosphere hits you like a ton of bricks. You feel like a member of the family here and everyone remembers who you are and details about you. And oh my, the food is absolutely amazing. It’s creative and delicious and you can tell that it is made with the upmost care. If you live here or you’re just passing through, EAT HERE.

Quite Incredible - Edit
This place was unexpectedly amazing. We were the first customers on a Sunday and the diner filled up quickly. My husband had the Hershel bagel and I had the eggless Benedict. We were both so pleased with our food. My portion size was large and the dressing on the salad was spectacular. This place has amazing food and really

Stellar - Edit
Thankful for Happy Cow. Visiting North Bay and Hppy Cow pointed us to this wholly vegan restaurant. Friday lunch hour was packed but service was efficient and turnover quick. Had the Reuben sandwich and garden salad. The attention to detail was incredible. Elements of savoury, rich, crunchy, tart on fresh vegan dark rye. OMG so good. Ambiance is vintage chachka meets shabby chic set in an Art Deco era diner. Cash only

Cute Diner Setting! - Edit
Stopped in for lunch. We had the potato corn chowder which was the soup of the day as well as mushrooms on toast and a cinnamon PB&J. Also had the ice tea and root beer float! The flavour blends are amazing in the sandwiches. Fresh, delicious food and service with a smile!!!

Friday special. April 27 2018 - Edit
Pros:
Read moreI couldn't finish it, after the large salad, which was included with the special.
Both were pretty much meals themselves. The main course its self could have been sold for almost the price I was charged for.
What's the average price of a medium salad with quality items and little to no iceburg lettuce? 3.99 -14.99
I haven't had a rootbeer float in ages. Having a vegan one that tasted exactly like it was beyond belief.
Bathrooms were spacious and clean.
Restaurant seating was comfortable.
Staff was knowledgeable,
attentive ,friendly, and polite.
Cons:
It does get busy and therefore noisy.
.
Pros: Food was great .Decent presentation& great price., House dressing was better than most places., Eggplant filling.
Cons: It seats, at best 50-75, Enter an empty restaurant, minutes later it's full.

The North Star Diner started out as a food trailer at the Farmer's Market, and now we are so lucky to have them in a permanent location!
Read moreThe food here is simply amazing... fresh, & locally sourced. Not just delicious, but the presentation is beautiful too.
