Random place-great food - Edit
The restaurant is on the top floor of a shopping centre- mainly frequented by locals so very authentic and slightly out of town. The owner is lovely and cooks everything fresh- huge portions, got the arepas and ceviche all delicious

Very Good Food. Nice Lady. - Edit
The setting is on the second floor of a shopping complex, quite easy to find. You must scan a QR code for the menu or there is a chalk board with the daily dishes. The lady there was really nice, only spoke Spanish. WiFi is available.
Read moreNice big portions and really tasty. We had Risotto Norteño con Chicharrón with a mayo and a spicy dip on the side and Fettuccine Huancaina con Portobello mushrooms. 45 Sol for both. Credit Card can be used with a percentage added as is normal in Peru.
Pros: Food was Good, Lady was Nice, Price was Good

Big portions and big taste - Edit
We had the risotto and the trio de mare and both were really really tasty. The portions are really big but also really cheap! The lady who cooked the food was also really nice and helpful!

Don't be put off by the location - Edit
Noqa Vegan is a little gem of a restaurant! It punches way above its weight with a varied cuisine including classics from all over Latin America that taste amazing. After reading great reviews on HC I wasn't expecting it to be a stall in a food court on the second floor of a small mall with only one staff prepping the food and waiting on the tables. But we were in for a surprise as everything we ordered was healthy, delicious and unique. Our choices were: Venezuelan arepas, the Trio Marino and the risotto Norteño. My favourite was the Trio Marino which had a sea flavour without being excessively fishy. For drinks, we all loved the lucuma milk shake the best. As always in Peru the portions are gigantic, so order accordingly (taking away the leftovers is always an option) We raided all the available chocotejas, which are an absolute delight. We plan on taking some back as little gifts from Peru but... will there be any left when the plane takes off?

flavorful and amazing meals, big portions for only 12Sol - Edit
We took two menus of the day, soup and tequeños as starters and tacu tacu con lomito and arroz chaufa con tofu as mains. I really really enjoyed all the flavors. It is my first day in Peru and my first time eating traditional food so the the mix of flavors were a little bit new to me but I deeply appreciated almost every bite, especially the subtleness of it all. Only the flavors of the tofu with tacu tacu con lomito my body didn’t seem to like that much but I would attribute that to personal taste; also because my partner really enjoyed it. Tequeños were so crunchy and juicy on the inside, the soup was heart-warming (just added a tiny bit of salt) and on top of that - the sauces were amaaaazing. Creamy mayo and the spicy sauce, ugh, an amazing addition if you order anything else. And the juice as well, soso yum. And everything for only 12Sol per menu, how in the world?! Would love to try so many more things on their menu if I get the chance to return. Also, huuuuge portions!

Wonderful First Meal in Peru 🇵🇪😊 - Edit
The menu is an online QR code and there is wifi. Their Instagram page has the menu of the day. It was a little hard to order, but the food was delicious and so filling. I loved the creamy “mayo” sauce, the tequeños appetizer, and the Tacu Tacu con Lomito. The flavors- wow 🤩. The drink was like an apple sauce drink with cinnamon and cloves, and they were unfortunately out of dessert, but we honestly could barely finish half the plate. The portions are enormous for just 12soles.

Restaurante vegano dentro do “Povos Azules”.

Worth repeated visits! - Edit
On our 3 month trip around South America, this was the first restaurant we went to!
Read moreThe first time, I think some of the things we wanted were unavailable so we had pesto spaghetti with Milanese and we thought it was really tasty. So much so, we wanted to return, and ended up having our last meal in South America here too. It did not disappoint. The pesto was still equally delicious, with a slightly different Milanese. The mushroom ceviche was great - and actually had a spicy kick to it!
The food takes a while to come out, demonstrating it is prepared to order. We also loved people watching up here as it is essentially a food court.

Great food; but could be better - Edit
Checking their online menu, I had high expectations because of the large variety of Latin-American food available.
Read moreWe had the «Bandeja Paisa», which is a plate with many small Colombian dishes; and the Fetuccini Huancaína, which is pasta with huancaína sauce accompanied with «portobello» mushrooms and vegetables.
It was underwhelming, unfortunately, the first one was rather dry (even with the sauces), and, while it tasted good, it was very basic. For the second one, it was also yummy; but it was disappointing that it didn't have portobello but rather simple mushrooms.
Added to the extremely long waiting time (we were the only ones there), it was not the best experience we had in Lima.
However, they did have a lunch set which was prepared quicker (but was less interesting).
If you're in a hurry, I'd suggest getting that one.
Otherwise, get the «saucy» dishes, they seem to be better!
They are located in the 2nd floor, all the way to the back (you'll need to go through many people who will try to get you into their restaurants while you walk).
There are a few plastic tables, so it's not the coziest place to eat either; but I appreciate them having a fully vegan stand in this shopping center, so I hope they'll stay!
Pros: good food, good value

The best food we ate in Lima.
Read moreAnother restaurant at the food court pointed us towards Noqa - the lights were off but the owner was in and turned everything on as soon as we went over.
There is a huge main menu, plus a 12 soles set menu. We had the trio of tacos and a dish with avocado, beans, plantain and rice from the main menu. All the flavours went so well together it was unreal. Do not miss!

Basic food - Edit
I had lunch here on a weekday in April 2023. Currently the meal of the day costs 12 soles. There was a choice of two items for the first plate and three different choices for the second plate. It came with a small pitcher of fruit juice. Overall, I found the food to be no better than average. The salad only had lettuce, avocado and a few pieces of cucumber. They certainly could have put a little bit more on the plate to give it some color such as carrots. The main plate contained black-eyed peas, undercooked brown rice and a slice of tofu that had been grilled. The rice was rather firm and chewy; the black-eyed peas were over salted. Those plates were monochromatic and not interesting to look at. Again, just adding a piece of broccoli would have added some much needed color to the plate. After reading all of the reviews, most of which are five stars, I expected better. Once was enough for me. If you come here just take the stairway up to the top level that's exposed on the roof and you'll find the restaurant there. Service was friendly.

A vegan gem in downtown Lima - Edit
The place has an extensive menu, including Peruvian and Venezuelan dishes. It's a little hard to find, but it's in the Polvos Azules food court. They also have ice cream and vegan kekes. A gem in downtown Lima, they serve good portions and at a good price. They also have a set menu of the day.

Very happily surprised - Edit
I was hesitant to eat eat once I saw the very simple dining area. But don’t judge a book by its cover. The food was amazing. I got a mixed plate of everything they offered. Everything tasted fresh and the salsas added a lot of flavor. The tofu was cooked and seasoned so well compared to other tofu I’ve had in Peru. The juice was refreshing and flavorful. I really enjoyed this place and would love to go back whenever in Lima. The pricing is so crazy cheap for how good the food was.

Hidden on a parking lot but delicious - Edit
This restaurant is indeed a bit hidden but we are glad we came here. The cook is very friendly and very creative with his food. He served us some interesting flavors and combinations. The lunch menu is very very cheap (10 soles/person) and the portions are huge! It was so nice to see an all vegan restaurant in this neighborhood and (a bit of a weird) spot.

I wouldn't have expected such delicious traditionally latin food! Amazing! It's a bit hidden but: 100% vegan, traditional plates from Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and Cuba and huge portions! They even have vegan milkshakes! Wow! My boyfriend had the lomo saltado with pasta and I tried the risotto norteño. Yummy! You have to come here!

Solid staff. Solid food. Solid price. - Edit
Had breakfast here. Food is simple, fast, and good. Zero complaints. I’m adding it to my regular stops now. This may not be a good place to go during peak hours as it is in a food court with 12 other establishments grillling/frying meat. But in the morning it’s perfect.

Traditional latin food made vegan - Edit
Traditional dishes made vegan. Simple and delicious. A full tasty menu with fresh juice for 9 soles. You can find the stand upstairs from the local market. One of the few vegan options in the centre. Friendly cook and fresh and local ingredients.
