Lovely vegan and glutenfree lasagna - Edit
Been here a few times and they have really nice vegan food with a lot of glutenfree option. The lasagna is a favourite. The cakes are nice but for a five star they would need to advance in this area.

Amazing atmosphere - Edit
They have both an ordinary vegan semla and then a gluten free one. I tried the ordinary one and it was really good! The bun was the best semla bun both me and my dad have ever had.
Read moreThe atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is lovely, they made us feel like we were friends over for a fika! This place feels really genuine. They don’t have a lot of different food options but the ones they have are great and the dishes look pretty. My favorite was the lasagna. Everything is vegan and they have GF options as well. Will definitely be coming back!
Edit: coming back here is always lovely. You feel very safe and welcomed here!

Stress rolls off me when I come to Nomi. Lovely atmosphere. The bolognese is to die for and it's such a good idea to have the smaller bowl option. More room for cake afterwards!

Genuinely the best jackfruit I’ve ever had - Edit
I really wish I had better words to describe it but I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I had the glass noodle salad with jackfruit and an iced dirty chai and my partner had the hummus and the iced hot chocolate. Everything we ordered was fantastic but I must say the noodle salad and especially the jackfruit was a total stand out. The flavors were deep and complex and just absolutely incredible. I could’ve eating 3 more bowls. The dirty chai was also great, very sweet if that’s your thing. The plating was beautiful and the atmosphere was cozy and fun with lovely murals and really funky dinnerware. Price wise it was very fair for what you got, everything was well done without any cut corners and it all cost under 200kr per person. The person running the counter was a total sweetheart and very fun to talk to. Definitely going to stop by here again soon!

What the heck 😅 - Edit
I do not understand these reviews. Went with my non vegan friend and we both left disappointed.
Read moreFirstly, the prices are outrageous. 65kr for a dirty hot choc without whipped cream?! Or the same price for a tiny piece of dry cake?
We tried the food which had the same feel. The sandwich with pesto had less than a tsp of pesto in it - see pictures. The hummus was watery and made of lentils. Great idea if the taste is awesome - it wasn’t.
It just makes me sad to see these places opened by trendy, self starter sort of people and then they’re not even there. Instead the whole place is run by a poor woman who seemed like she’d just started. Unless there’ll be some big changes I wouldn’t come back. We went to Leve for dessert instead!

Pros: Fully vegan , Cosy interior/exterior seating , Friendly staff
Cons: Expensive - for what you get , Inauthentic feel

Hi! I’m Miriam, I’m not a trendy self started sort of people. I’m just an ordinary woman with dreams of creating a beautiful space with my gift of creating tasty food. Unfortunately I don’t have 8 arms like an octopus, this means that some times I need to take time off. The costs of taxes and arbetsgivaravgift is so high in Sweden that you can’t have employees if you really don’t need to - meaning, this has a lot of consequences.
Read moreWhy you didn’t get whipped cream I do not know! It should have whipped cream. Why the cake was dry, I do not know either. We are the opposite of trendy rich people, we just opened in December with our hearts in our hands after renovating non stop for three months. We are figuring everything out, doing our best.
You are so welcome to contact me and I will make sure you get a new chance at our place so you can’t try what the food is suppose to taste like.
Also we have neurodivergent people both in owners and in employees, if you are not used to that it can seem like the person is new at their job, even if they are not. Or maybe it was someone new, this is also a possibility.
The most important thing for me is that you get to taste some good food and some good vibes, and you schooled absolutly not pay the whole price for an incomplete dish. That’s messed up and I wished you would have pointed this out for a refund.
Thank you for calling our attention to this big error. Also, we make the pesto our self and have no reason to be cheap with it so I don’t know what happened there either 😆

Hi Saga! Noam here- the other owner of Nomi The Karakal.. for a few months now I have been reading your massage every now and again and a big wave of sorrow floats my heart.. I left my old life to create this amazing oasis of colors and tastes, took a big leap of faith, a long dream that changed my life that I had in Ystad. Changed my life because of our new exiting routines, but mostly the people, our clients-friends that can share our vision, vision of how to live life and not only serving food. I’m very sorry about your experience here and positive that only if you would tell us that our worker forgot to add something or made a mistake we would be able to compensate you right at the place(like it usually happens when someone is making a mistake- we grow of it) with a smile and a laugh. Like with that sandwich we would just ask you to lift the spinach, since the pesto was bottom layer or just give your more to your satisfaction . 🥲 Like Miriam shared we are and have people with special qualities so what’s considers to be ‘sad’ to you might be just stress (like you have a lot of in this branch) or any other emotion, you see..- most important for us is that everyone will have a fair chance in society even if she/him is not ‘perfect’ and unique. We welcome you again with open arms to our baby cafe to have a laugh, a hug, a meal- whatever you wish🌻 And for us to get a overview of the situation we are happy to receive the information about what day and time you where here, maybe you can check your pictures. So that we can take this information with us for future planning and understanding how we come across, and the service and vibe we strive to offer.

Cosy place off the main street with a lovely court yard. I had the amazing vegan and gluten free lasagna. The presentation was really nice, which I find is often missing in laid back vegan places. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Next time I will try some of the cakes - they looked yummy!
