Failed Saturday lunch

Been wanting to visit here for a few years but hadn’t been because Happy Cow showed it as temporarily closed. My OH had looked at their website which showed they were open so we took a drive out on Saturday lunchtime to see. Unfortunately when we arrived & asked what was available, we were told that the soup had sold out really quickly. We asked what else they had, eg sandwiches? - apparently “not on a Saturday “. That meant that all that was available was a couple of cakes but as we were looking for something more substantial, we left & went elsewhere instead.

Cons: Very limited menu

I submitted an update of opening times back in April but this hasn’t been amended by Happy cow.

Great!

Clearly labelled vegan cake and soup options, plus soya milk for hot drinks!

lovely place for a walk, coffee and cinnamon swirl

Great place that looks and feels like a holiday park in the woods! It exists to help people with disabilities. Great vibes. I saw a nutritional information sheet for the cakes and the only thing vegan was a cinnamon swirl - yum yum. Soya milk available for coffees.

Pros: soya milk, cinnamon swirls, great community service feel

Cons: not a big choice of cakes, not sure about soups or favourites

great cafe and cause

it's hard to believe you are still in Aberdeen when you visit Newton Dee cafe. Part of a Campbell community looking after people and giving opportunities to people with learning disabilities and other special needs,
an emphasis on organic and bread etc is baked in the community. its good comfort food at lunchtimes, soups and sandwiches. the days i visited there were two soups both of which were vegan. in think there is always one vegan soup. staff are really nice and will help with any requests.
a great option to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy lunch in a loving environment.

Pros: chilled, great space, staff

Cons: limited menu
