Gorgeous food and gorgeous venue - Edit
This place is a real gem and we're so glad we ventured out of Brighton to visit. The restaurant is small and has a wonderful atmosphere which was dog friendly. The staff were all super friendly and seemed genuinely nice. I had the waffles with bacon which was so delicious, and my partner had the carrot and coriander soup which he loved. The herb butter that came with the bread was lovely. All of the food that we saw looked beautiful. Would highly recommend to vegans and non vegans alike.

Vegan almond croissant! - Edit
I only went for breakfast one time on the way through Lewes but anywhere you can get a vegan almond croissant deserves a mention in my opinion. Very tasty croissant, and really lovely coffee. Other cakes on offer looked good. Lovely place to sit and would have liked to have a chance to return and try their main dishes as they all sounded good. All veggie based, ie. no fake meats and cheeses, which also gets my thumbs up.

Great food and friendly atmosphere - Edit
You can’t book but managed to reserve a table in the courtyard. Can recommend the Buddha bowl, burger and all day breakfast, then, if you have room the cakes are very tasty. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Been meaning to eat here for a while. The breakfast I had a was lovely, it seemed a little on the small side but still filled me up. The setting of the restaurant is very relaxing with lots of different seating options 🥞

Best breakfasts, best store environment and best croissants - Edit
Love this place. Everyone that visits we need to tick off breakfast at Needlemakers in lewes. Homemade beans are amazing. Best bread which they tell me is from flint owl down the road. Lovely staff and wonderful surroundings in the Needlemakers.

Looking forward to going back - Edit
Finding a vegan pastry in a cafe is always such a treat, and they had plenty to choose from here. My partner had the breakfast which was delicious, and the coffees were very tasty too. Trying to find excuses to go back to Lewes just so we can come back here!

Good food. - Edit
Lovely friendly staff. Order early as some items sell out quickly. We had the Rarebit which was extremely good. Their onion chutney was delicious, but the watercress had some pieces rather past their best. Only a minor issue in the scheme of things.

Great food, great staff, great location - Edit
We loved this place. We were camping nearby and wanted some great vegan grub but really didn't want the hassle of going into Brighton. We didn't need to as a search revealed Needlemakers an easy 5 mile drive away. Parking was easy in the car park right outside and we were in for a 9am breakfast. I have to say I think this was one of the best vegan breakfasts we've had. It was big and delicious and all so freshly cooked. The matcha latte was also the best ever tasted and we treated ourselves to another round of tea after. The staff were really friendly, helpful and it was lovely hearing them having fun singing in the kitchen too! We couldn't leave without taking the most amazing foccacio sandwich with us and also coconut pain au chocolat; all equally as tasty when we enjoyed them later on in the day. We wouldn't bother with going in to Brighton now as we would head straight to Needlemakers; good food and good vibe in a laid back and much quieter location thank busy old Brighton. Wish they were closer to us!
